Ride Lil Buck Snowboard - Boy's 2014

Ride Shop all Ride
The Ride Lil Buck Snowboard is not your average kids' board. This twin rocker features Ride's Slimewalls® technology and Foundation Tuned™ core for superior pop, stability, and long lasting durability. Built to go anywhere, anytime, this freestyle bad boy will let your child turn into the star he was meant to be.
Rocker Type
Twin Rocker - This twin shape has minimal rocker featuring a long, stable flat zone that extends well beyond the inserts into the tip and tail.

Flex
Feel-O-Meter (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 3, a medium flex designed for all-mountain freestyle riding
Core
Foundation Tuned™ Core - This tip-to-tail wood core has proven durability that retains pop and flex. Ride blends the natural strength, pop and feel of wood with added dampening materials and composites. Mixing wood with high-energy "uppers" and vibration absorbing "downers" creates a core tuned for maximum snap and feel.
Laminates
Biaxial Glass - Ride takes stitched glass to new levels and tailors it to each board's needs. Their unique glass designs are flatter, more consistent and therefore stronger with no gaps or stretching like woven glass. 90 degree and 0 degree angles makes it fun and forgiving.
Sidewalls
Slimewalls® Sidewalls - Ride's exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than fighting them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smooths the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may Ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.

Base
Fusion 1500™ Base - The industry standard, it's wax absorbing and easy to repair. Ride invented and owns the Fusion Base™ Technology in which material is formed together for a solid, fast ride every time.
Binding Compatibility
4 x 4 inserts

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
