Ride DH Wide Snowboard 2013

When Ride Team Member Seb Toutant dominates slopestyle and big air comps, the DH Wide Snowboard is on his feet. The Ride DH Wide Snowboard combines a traditional cambered shape with Pop Rods 2.0® to create the ultimate in poppin’ good energy. Complete with Slimewalls® to smooth out the transitions and Cleave Edge™ for durability.
Rocker Type
Camber - Offers a more traditional board profile for die-hard camber fans with a shape that is focused on precision consistency and response.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 9, made for go-getters in the park arena with bigger feet who want to ensure that their board is active and edgy so they can charge hard and get the response they need.
Shape
Thin Con Construction - Features a tapered tip and tail to reduce swing weight, enhanced tip flex, and sidewalls that run past the effective edge.
Core
Pop Rods® 2.0 - Adds the energy of carbon to your riding by using strategic placement in the boards tip and tail. Made up of flat carbon rods.
Laminates
Hybrid Glass - Built with triaxial on top, biaxial on base, and a balanced torsion and stiffness for better response with speed.
Sidewalls
Slimewalls® - The virtually indestructible sidewall technology wins on absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. The urethane in Slimewalls® smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on.
Base
Fusion 4000 Base™ - This is a sintered base, making it more durable, harder, and faster than an extruded base. It is the fastest snowboard base material known.
Edges
Cleave Edge™ - Nearly 50% more steel delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii.
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Inserts

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Very Stiff
    Very Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
