Ride Crook Snowboard 2014

The new Ride Crook Snowboard is high-performance deck at a price that's criminal. The Crook competes with high-end industry snowboards at a fraction of the cost. This full performance Ride features Ride's exclusive LowRize™ rocker and indestructible Slimewalls® to provide a smooth riding deck perfect for lapping parks or slashing groomers. Ride it like you stole it.
Rocker Type
LowRise™ Rocker - LowRise™ rocker just slightly lifts the contact points out of the snow and has a nearly flat zone under foot. These twin rides are full of smooth-riding fun.

Flex
Feel-O-Meter: 3 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - This freestyle flex is great for jibs butters and getting airborne. Ride's Feel-O-Meter rating is adjusted year to year to align with current industry standards. A board unchanged from last year may receive a new feel number this year if the industry scale shifts.
Shape
Twin - Completely symmetrical with identical tip and tail measurements and flex pattern
Core
Foundation Tuned™ Core - Tip-to-tail wood core with proven durability that retains pop and flex: Mixing natural wood with high-energy "uppers" and vibration absorbing "downers" creates a core tuned for maximum snap and feel.
Laminates
Biaxial Glass - 90° and 0° angles are fun and forgiving. Ride's unique glass designs are flatter and more consistent; therefore they are stronger with no gaps or stretching as can be found in woven glass.
Sidewalls
Slimewalls® Sidewall - Ride's exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smooths the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may Ride on. On top of all that, these babies are the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding and virtually indestructible.

Base
Fusion 1500™ Base - The industry standard, it's wax absorbing and easy to repair. Ride invented and owns the Fusion Base™ Technology, in which material is formed together for a solid, fast Ride every time.
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Inserts

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
