Nitro Rook Snowboard 2012

A clear standout the Nitro Rook Snowboard is a true twin board that has won multiple tests and awards in the last two seasons, giving it the instant legendary board status. Perfect for transitioning between machines, the Rook has an amazing mid-wide shape and zero camber. Add in the Bi-Lite laminates for a forgiving flex and the Ballistic Impact panels for shock absorption and you got yourself a complete park winner.
Rocker Type
Zero Camber - Combining the best of regular and negative camber, Zero camber boards are easy to maneuver while adding more snap and ollie pop. The result is a board with maximum versatility in more varied riding terrain.
Flex
Soft-Mid - Flexible for park riding and street riding
Shape
Tapered profile tip to disperse energy and reduce swing weight
Sidecut
Twin
Dual Degressive Sidecut - Makes landings and takeoffs effortless without sacrificing powerful turns
Core
Powercore II - A tip-to-tail poplar wood core with additional stringers of selected beech wood for unrivalled strength while smooth in response and insane snap
Laminates
Bi-Lite - Rider-trusted Bi-Light laminates are engineered for unrivaled strength, powerful style and refined board feel.
Base
Speed Formula Base - Fast, strong and low-maintenance, the material compound of high molecular weight PE and hyperglide wax additives used pushes you to go bigger than anybody else.
Edges
Railkiller - More meat for more durability
Additional Features
Pop Band - This strategically placed fiber reinforcement enhances your ollie pop power. Unlike other reinforcements, it maintains the board’s torsional flex and natural feel.
Ballistic Impact Panel - Kevlar © is used in bulletproof vests and body armor to protect your core. Nitro uses it in strategic places around the binding-to-board interface to protect the construction from impacts during hard landings. Many times stronger and way lighter than common titanal reinforcements.

Comments about Nitro Rook Snowboard 2012:

This board is great, I ride Big Sky in Montana it can get gnarly, this board handles everything very well, and is fun, fast, and has tons of pop. It is also a board that will last a few sessions, save some money hell ya! Not the best board if you like buttering, and pressing the hell out of the jibs. But thats the only bad thing I can say about this board, really.
