Comments about Nitro Blacklight Mid Wide Snowboard 2010:

I was moving away from freestyle (Ride DH, GNU Rider's Choice) boards when I picked this up. Compared to those, this board is stiffer, faster, and more stable in every way. It's perfect for ripping up groomers and inspiring confidence in questionable, off-piste situations. The wide shape helps float in pow (I'm about 150#, the 157 is passable in several inches, not my first choice if snow is being measured in feet). It also jumps very well in the park. It's not a jib deck by any stretch; it's a bit fragile in the tip and tail (don't bonk things if you want to keep your topsheet in one piece), but that's to be expected.

Sometimes, around the end of the day, I don't have enough energy to muscle the board around because it requires power to ride hard. But that's my lack of fitness, rather than anything bad about the snowboard.

If you're an aggressive rider looking for a responsive jump/freeride/all mountain board, this is a good choice.
