Product Details

Rocker Type

Original Rocker & Camber Profile (RC)Rocker underfoot for flotation, mobility, and a forgiving feel, plus camber extending from the outside of the mounting area to the transition area for superior edge hold and explosive pop. The transition area at the end of the camber extends to the effective edge keeping the board from pushing against the snow for effortless glide while making it less likely to catch an edge. RC delivers all the benefits of a rocker design with the spring, stability and edgehold of camber.

Flex

Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)6, a stiff flex for hard charging

Shape

Directional TwinMount it twin or ride it directional. It does it all.

Vario Power Grip SidecutMulti-radius sidecut adds increased edgehold precisely where it's needed most, from 2 inches outside of each binding and inward toward the center of the board, providing added control and response in any conditions (Sidecut Radius numbers are an average).

Core

NS Superlight Wood CoreTaking their custom flight core even further, they've designed the SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE specifically for the new Carbonium series which blends extremely light wood with durable hardwood for unmatched strength to weight ratio.

Laminates

Carbonium Laminate TechnologyMore carbon equals more power and performance. The new Carbonium Laminate Technology combines an advanced top and base carbon matrix to maximize torsional response and strength where it's needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful design that keep the Carbonium Series boards going stong for years.

Carbonium Dampening System (CDS)The CDS greatly reduces vibration and provides unmatched high speed stability and control. Thin elastomeric rubber stringers reduce vibration from the metal edge and surrounding laminates. Stringers below the inserts and under the carbon dampen any additional vibration near the bindings, giving the Carbonium Series boards a smooth riding feel underfoot without sacrificing snap and power throughout the board.

Bi-Lite FiberglassBI-LITE fiberglass combines many of the strength characteristics of STS ADVANCED fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.

STS Pretensioned FiberglassThe world's best snowboard fiberglass, period. STS ADVANCED FIBERGLASS is pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers the length of the effective edge. This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving this snowboard unmatched strength, edge hold and performance.

Sidewalls

Sintered P-Tex SidewallUnlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, SINTERED P-TEX SIDEWALLS maintain their integrity at any temperature.

P-Tex tip and tail protection

Base

Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 BaseCrown Plastics has developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for the Carbonium Series. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making it the fastest base NS has ever used.

Edges

Fully Wrapped Metal EdgeProvides unmatched carving ability and edge grip

Topsheet

Carbonium TopsheetA very durable, scratch and chip resistant material with a high tech carbon fiber like visual. This textured material also provides more grip than a gloss topsheet working as a built in stomp pad.

Additional Features

Elastomeric Underfoot StabilizersElastomeric Rubber Stabilizers directly below the mounting area provide optimum vibration absorption and increase high speed stability while reducing foot fatigue.

Made in 'Merica!

I have ridden the Never Summer 158 Heritage board 4x this season already and I absolutely love it. It holds an edge better than any other board I have owned and is super light weight. Highly recommend it!

Comments about Never Summer Heritage Snowboard 2014:

Very stable board in all conditions at any speed. Twin tip shape and damp ride make high speed switch riding and landings nice and smooth. It makes up for the heaviness and lack of pop with its durability, damp ride and ability to soak up the bumps. For ollies you have to find the sweet spot.

Comments about Never Summer Heritage Snowboard 2014:

First time snowboarder, with Never Summer Heritage I was able to carve heel & toe-side within 3 runs. Board might be stiff for a beginner but is confidence inspiring at speed. Awesome all-mountain board that's capable of groomer to 12'' of powder here in Colorado with no issues all in the same day. Would recommend EVO.com and Never Summer to friends and the Heritage has already had 8 snowdays put on it and continues to expand it's capabilities as I do.

Comments about Never Summer Heritage Snowboard 2014:

I rode this board for a couple of weeks and it was a lot heavier than my other boards. When i would be going fast down the groomers I would turn and start to lose an edge. So the sidecut was not agresive enough
