Product Info

The Helgasons are back with their Lobster Park Snowbaord. With Triple Base Technology and a mellow flex, the Park baord excels best when hitting feature after feature. Also the sintered base keeps things fast, when you're lining up to throw down on the kickers. You may have thought I misspelled board multiple times in this description, but that's the way the Helgasons do it in Iceland.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Triple Base Technology (TBT)Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail area into 3 parts: 1. The left sidebase for turning left. 2. The center flat middle base for going straight. 3. The right sidebase for turning right. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it gives the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. On edge, the camber is loaded and ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile, the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.

Flex

Flex Rating: 3An overall medium-soft flex, catered to freestyle riding. Great for pressing, sliding, and urban jibbing.

Shape

TwinCompletely symmetrical geometries and flex from tip to tail

Park TBTPark TBT is great for park riding and jibbing, with flat center base widths and lengths in between JIB and TWIN TBTs. It retains the trapezoidal profile of the JIB TBT boards for legit presses but adopts a slightly narrower flat base section. This allows PARK TBT to retain many of the jib specific benefits on boards that are usually slightly stiffer with longer contact length between the feet. These boards are hence more stable at high speeds. The TBT remains symmetrical on the nose and tail for the same ride switch as forward.

Core

Core CorePoplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the insert rows. This increases the board's core strength and channels stored energy to deliver more pop.

Laminates

Bi-Ax LaminateBi-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fiberglass layers aligned in two directions at 45 degees to the edges. This creates an easy and forgiving flex, which allows you to really feel the terrain.

Base

Sintered BaseFast! Great wax absorption and as hard as nails. These bases come with factory wax already infused. Top it off regularly to get the most out of the base.

Edges

Lightning EdgeThinner lightning edges enable you to carve with more feeling and precision, and they weigh less.

Binding Compatibility

Party Pattern 4 x 2The 4 x 2 / 22 pattern offers maximum precision for your binding's position with 22 inserts for a large total stance width range.

Comments about Lobster Park Snowboard 2014:

Good board for park riding. After trying a few stiffer Bataleons was little worried aboutTBT, but it works great for this kind of flexy board. It is stable before olieing onto a rails. Seller insisted me to take jibstick for more focused rail riding, but happy with this board as it is enough flexible for any rail or small to medium sized kicker. Enjoy TBT - it is buttery when you need it and a more forgiving than traditional old school camber.

Comments about Lobster Park Snowboard 2014:

I got this as it came out, because my last board the Lib Tech Skate Banana was stolen. Easily luckiest thing that's ever happened to me. I probably wouldn't have purchased this product had it not happened. It's fantastic on all features, the tail doesn't compress to much when landing on jumps (which gives a nice snappy landing). The triple base tech makes rails extra buttery. So if you're have problems catching an edge this definitely helps with that.
