Product Info

The Helgasons are up to no good in the streets with the Lobster Jib Snowbaord. With a soft flex and Triple Base Technology (TBT), you'll be jibbing around like a madman. Don't worry about messing up the base; because with an extruded base and hammer edges, the Lobster Jib Snowbaord will take a beating so you don't have to.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Triple Base Technology (TBT)Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail area into 3 parts: 1. The left sidebase for turning left. 2. The center flat middle base for going straight. 3. The right sidebase for turning right. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it gives the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. On edge, the camber is loaded and ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile, the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.

Flex

Flex Rating: 2A soft flex, designed for jibbing and taking on urban features. Great for pressing, sliding, and urban jibbing.

Shape

TwinCompletely symmetrical geometries and flex from tip to tail

Jib TBTJib TBT is great for jibbing and urban riding. The TBT is completely symmetrical about the nose and tail. The profile of these boards is trapezoidal giving a slightly cambered overall shape. On the center base section, instead of a smoothly curved camber there are three flat sections: The boards are flat between the feet with two flat sections at the nose and tail and are angled slightly so that the center section is raised off the floor slightly when it is not under pressure. This allows the board to carve like a camber and press like a rocker! On the side bases, the TBT uplift begins under your feet for a super loose and forgiving effect, with the TBT uplift angles minimized as works best on rail boards. The extra center flat base width stabilizes your slides and presses.

Core

Flex CoreLight and soft for easy presses

Laminates

Bi-Ax LaminateBi-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fiberglass layers aligned in two directions at 45 degees to the edges. This creates an easy and forgiving flex, which allows you to really feel the terrain.

Base

Extruded BaseEasy to repair and takes a beating! Low maintenance and still slides well with irregular waxing, not that the guys at Bataleon are condoning anything other than a militant waxing regime (like Rihanna's).

Edges

Hammer EdgeHammer edges are thicker, tougher, stronger and more durable than your average edges. That's good when they are up against metal rails and concrete stairs, but it's also useful when the powder is not quite as deep as it looks!

Binding Compatibility

Precise Pattern 4 x 2The 4 x 2 / 20 pattern allows you to attach your bindings with scientific precision.

Comments about Lobster Jib Snowboard 2014:

I'm coming from a 159w GNU Carbon which was my first 'freestyle' board. After 1 full season on it and stepping my game up in the park I knew I needed smaller, lighter, and more flexible. This board hits all of that. The flex is amazing and the lightweight really sped up my aerial spins making it easier to spot my landing before I hit the ground. Very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Lobster Jib Snowboard 2014:

THIS WAS A GREAT BAORD TO START MY GIRLFRIEND OFF ON. NICE AND SOFT WITH ELEVATED CONTACT POINTS TO MINIMIZE CATCHING AN EDGE. AND WHEN SHES READY FOR HER OWN BOARD I END UP WITH A NICE JIB STICK (JUST AS I INTENDED, HEHEHEHE...)
