Product Info

Hard-charging freestylers like Sammy Luebke, Eric Jackson, Blair Habenicht, Jakob Wilhelmson and Martin Cernik have tested the TRS (Total Ripper Series) boards and given them the thumbs-up. You’ll see why as soon as you strap in to the Lib Tech TRS C2BTX (Color) Snowboard with its striking skull and moth graphic, C2 Power Banana profile, and Magne-Traction edges. Comes with Columbian Gold wood core, Basalt/Fiberglass combo composite layup, Power Transfer internal sidewalls, and TNT base.

Product Details

Rocker Type

C2 Power Banana Camber (C2 BTX)Rocker between your feet blended with a radial camber to contact points focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice, and a solid amount of pressure to the tip and tails for power end-to-end stability, pop, and maximum control in critical situations while maintaining float.

Flex

Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)5-7 depending on size

Shape

True TwinA true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch or play in the park. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.

Core

Columbian Gold CoreExperimental new dead tree with the highest compression response ever used in a snowboard

Laminates

Basalt / Fiberglass ComboBasalt is produced in a clean, pure process consisting of high heat and absent of toxic additives. Not only is it safer for humans, it’s easier to recycle. Basalt fiber has strength properties much higher than fiberglass and better damping properties for a smooth ride.

Sidewalls

Power Transfer Internal SidewallsThe same futuristic power 90º pop technology from Lib Tech's world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines, only this time Lib Tech has placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction: stronger, more pop, and more control.

Double Sintered UHMWTwice as sintered as any other sidewall: tough, handsome, and light

Base

TNTFast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material: Wax it or maybe skip a day.

Edges

Magne-Traction™Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Comments about Lib Tech TRS C2BTX (Color) Snowboard 2013:

Rode the TRS up at Stevens and Baker this winter. It is a great board for hardpack conditions, good in powder, and responsive in the zones that get skied out. The C2BTX offers a stiffer ride that is great for making big smooth turns and generates more pop than a standard rocker. The Magne Traction is on point and offers the best edge hold out there when things get dicey. The one drawback for me was that the board was stiffer than I expected. This board is rated 5-7 but is stiffer than a lot of the other boards I've rode in the Mervin line. I'm lightweight which made it harder to get the right flex, but someone with a bigger build may find it to be the perfect combo. Overall, this is a good stiff all mountain board that is Handmade in the USA.

Comments about Lib Tech TRS C2BTX (Color) Snowboard 2013:

I love this board. The TRS board is made to hold a tight grip even on very icy terrain and it does that well. It rips on groomers and the stability is excellent. There is virtually no chatter at all. It can be a bit more grippy than what you want so it may get some getting used to. You don't have to work too hard to initiate turns, it's super-responsive. Of course the magnetraction is excellent on icy conditions and gives you a bit better chance to stay afloat.
One thing to keep in mind is that this board is pretty stiff. They say 6, but err...well it's stiff. It's therefore not as playful, but you get stability at high speeds. Of course, this board looks awesome...in fact too awesome, so I tend to lock it when I leave it unattended. I ride it with Burton Cartels. They are great comfortable bindings and control this board well.

Comments about Lib Tech TRS C2BTX (Color) Snowboard 2013:

Loved the magnetraction. It really added a lot of control to the board & made groomed conditions much more manageable. Double camber really helps to satiblize the rocker & I also liked the flex. Would love to get it in some pow.

Comments about Lib Tech TRS C2BTX (Color) Snowboard 2013:

The TRS 157 is a "quiver killer" that holds an edge well, has lots o' pop and hooks into turns without feeling twitchy. A great all mt. board that will excel in all terrain from park to powder slashes. I am 5'10 and could run the 157 or the 159 if I'm more inclined to ride the deep stuff.
