Product Info

You've heard of Travis Rice before, right? In case you haven't, he's kind of a big deal in the snowboarding world. Check out The Art of Flight, King of the Hill and Supernatural. This board is his brain child born on the steeps of his home mountain Jackson Hole, WY. It's designed to allow you to slip in and out of any situation imaginable with his favorite C2 Power Banana camber rocker profile and comes factory detuned to his specs. Excelling in all conditions, this board has a naturally thicker waist and comes in two shapes, the pow specific pointy 161.5 and 164.5 and the park/jib focused blunt 150,153 and 157. No matter where you are on the mountain, the Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard crushes its competition. That's it, that's all.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2014:

During the Mervin Manufacturing demo day I tried out the Travis Rice Pro board by Lib Tech. I really enjoyed riding this board, I'm 5'7" about 135 pounds and I rode a 150. I normally ride a 152 TRS board by Lib Tech and found this board to be very similar to mine. I would consider myself a intermediate/advance snowboarder and like to ride all over the mountain, whether its in the park, on groomed runs, or backcountry. When trying out this board I was mainly riding it in the park and on some groomed runs. Thought this board was a great all-mountain board, I did not have any big issues with it other than it was a little slow when riding it powder but that could have been because of the snow. Easy turn initiations and never caught an edge, the Travis Rice Pro really lives up to its reputation, a great all terrain freestyle board.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2014:

My profile: expert all mountain rider/ skier, and backcountry. I prefer double black diamond steeps powder technical terrain. I do not do tricks/ park. I ride and ski at backcountry Rockies and Telluride, which has lots of bumps. I am 5'9" female, weight 145, and I prefer stiffer male boards since I feel I ride aggressively, most female boards are too small and flexi for me. I own the blunt tip 157 TRice, it suits me well. I thought the bigger one might be too hard to handle in tight trees or bumps, although I don't like the blunt tip shape.. that is anaesthetic prob, since I don't ride park. If I could only own one board, this would be it. The wavy edges seem to keep your turns throughout cruddy bumps, while they would throw me around on my big T6. This board also stays stable at high speeds on steep crud. It is quick to turn in tight trees, and does pretty darm well in deep powder, although I prefer my Mololo or longer T6 for the pow. On a day that I will be riding all mountain, all conditions, this is my board of choice.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX Snowboard 2014:

I've ridden this board on glare ice, hard-packed groomers, and foot deep pow. The first thing you'll realize if and when you encounter ice, is that magne-traction is incredible. This thing bites into even the thickest bullet-proof and has definitely boosted my confidence on those sketchy patches. In powder, the T.Rice floats effortlessly even without a setback in your stance. It's nearly effortless to keep the nose up even in deep pow. On groomers, this board performs. Whether you like to bomb straight back to the lift at 60mph or do 100 slow turns, this board is stable as a rock even on the flats.

The only downside to the T.Rice that I can see is that the nose and tail ding very easily. After the third time riding it, there is a small part of the top sheet on the tail that is peeling where a skier dinged it in the lift line. Not a huge deal, but it always hurts a little to ding up a new board!

Friends own an older generation of this board and persuaded me to get this one. No regret! I always thought I could never improve further due to something wrong to my riding style. Turns out board matters. I can carve so much better with this board and less tiring!
