Lib Tech T. Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard 2012: The go-to stick of the man himself, the T.Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard has a pointy pow-specific nose and stiffer flex for insane pop and stability. With C2 Power Banana, it maneuvers easily in any situation – hardpack, park, pipe, pow, rails, and even ice. Point it straight and feel confident sending it with the T. Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard.
Flex
Flex rating: 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff): features C2 Power Banana which is designed for aggressive all terrain freestyle riders. Banana Tech rocker between your feet combined with cambers at each end of the board
Construction and Core
The supreme combination of Basalt, BEANs and Columbian Gold ultra-high tech materials is what makes the power and might in Lib Tech’s Horsepower construction.
Slightly pointed tip and tail
Bio-Plastic Beans sparkle topsheet is a new earth-friendly bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans; with a high strength-to-weight ratio Bio Beans is eco-friendly and strong.
The C2 Banana Rocker (C2BTX) combination offers the best features of Banana Tech: float in powder in both directions, carving on hardpack and ice and a catch-free freestyle performance with the best features of camber for end to end stability and extra pop for strong aggressive riders.
Shape
Twin Blunt Jib shape (153, 157) for park riding / Twin Pointy Pow shape (161.5, 164.5) for big-mountain riding
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Magne-Traction serrated edges features 7 bumps strategically placed along the sidecut, with the largest bumps at and between your feet to add maximum control and power where you need it most. Magne-Traction shifts the control, edgehold, and power from your tip and tail to under your feet where your balance in centered, resulting in a more catch-free tip and tail, better control for freestyle tricks, better tracking and an easier snowboard to ride.
Sintered UHMW Base is so fast, you might be mistaken for T. Rice himself.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freeride, Freestyle
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.

    Lib-Tech Dominates

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard 2012:

One of the best all mountain boards you can buy. I was a little skeptical of all the new technology everyone's coming out with these days, but Lib Tech's been doing it since before anyone and they've got it dialed. Your going to have more fun on this board then 98.8% of the boards out there. Magne-traction works. You'll be locked into your turns and C2 gives you pop off jumps and float in the pow. These aren't gimmicks, it's science.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard 2012:

this was my first time on a Lib-Tech, or any Mervin board for that matter and for some reason I thought I wouldn't like it. My previous experience with Lib led me to believe it would be heavy, and dead-feeling. It was the exact opposite. It was light, had lots of pop, and held up well at high speed. I liked the C2 Camber more than I thought I would as it was pretty stable. The magnatraction was pretty mellow and I liked that as well.

Comments about Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX HP Snowboard 2012:

got this board at the beginning of the season and have been going weekly. i'm in the north east so conditions i guess arent that great. but it just happened to snow everytime i've gone so far and this board is amazing. on the ice it holds well, cuts through it like paper. just needs a little getting used to how the board functions but once you get it, you can pretty much get through anything. i was a little skeptical if the board could hold me up on turns and stops at the speeds that i hit and jackpot. no problem! hitting the jumps got some great air. tricks no problem. as for buttering its a little to stiff. i fight with the flex of the board but i knew what i was getting into when i got it so no problem. overall its a great board!! and its tough. doesn't ding up like i thought it would at the head and tail from when i saw it.
