Lib Tech Dark Series C2BTX Wide Snowboard 2012

Power up for serious freestyle shredding with the Lib Tech Dark Series C2BTX Wide Snowboard. This aggressive all-terrain freestyle board features Banana Tech rocker between your feet combined with cambers at each end of the board. With 3D Bamboo Org Throttles and a lightweight Columbian Gold Wood Core, the power transfers straight from your feet to the edges, tip and tail allowing you to take your riding to new heights. The Dark Series C2BTX Wide board has all the pop, float, catch-free, and carving abilities to point it straight and send it.
Rocker Type
C2 Power Banana Camber - Has rocker between your feet with a radial camber to the contact points. Offers the best features of Banana Tech: float in powder in both directions, carving on hardpack and ice and a catch-free freestyle performance with the best features of camber for end to end stability and extra pop for strong aggressive riders.

Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 7.5, designed for aggressive all-terrain freestyle riders. Banana Tech rocker between your feet combined with cambers at each end of the board.
Shape
Directional Twin - Effortless freestyle and freeride geometry. Twin chassis (from contact to contact), but with an ever so slightly longer nose than tail, floats on powder and blasts thru crud - a twin with an advantage.
Core
Columbian Gold Wood - Light weight, strong, stable and temperature resistant.
Laminates
Basalt / Fiberglass - Basalt fiber has strength properties much higher than fiberglass and better damping properties for a smooth ride.
Sidewalls
Power Transfer Internal Sidewalls - Tip-to-tail internal "sidewalls" with end-grain orientation transfer energy directly to your edges.
Edges
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges slice through the snow with 7 strategically located and sized bumps along each side of your sidecut giving you insane edge hold and precision control. The biggest bumps are at and between your feet where your balance is centered adding maximum control and power where you need it most. The bumps outside your feet are smaller and less aggressive providing tip and tail control but maintaining freestyle freedom.

Topsheet
Bio-Plastic Beans - A new earth-friendly bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans; with a high strength-to-weight ratio Bio Beans is eco-friendly and strong.

**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.
Additional Features
3-D Bamboo Org Throttle - Features crossband wood platforms with edge to edge grain orientation that transfers energy directly from your feet to the power transfer internal sidewalls and out along the edges.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
