K2 Turbo Dream Wide Snowboard 2012

You know that dream where you can fly? Well, it’s real and this time it doesn’t feel like falling and you won’t wake up screaming in a hot sweat. Enter the K2 Turbo Dream Snowboard and a world of snow covered magical progression filled with Harshmellow™ pillows and Carbon Webs™ of trampoline pop. The mountain is yours to play until the sun goes down and you return to the real world for sleep so you can fall back into your dream again tomorrow.
Construction and Core
The WH3 core of the K2 Turbo Dream uses three species of renewable wood with two strips of HoneyKomb™ material between the bindings and the rails for optimal strength, reduced weight and enhanced dampening. Combine this with new Carbon Web technology that is designed specifically to enhance the All Terrain Rocker® Baseline by providing the pop and snap of carbon closer to your bindings for maximum ollies and control.
Hybritaper™ construction tapers out the core at the tip and tail for reduced swing weight.
Shape
The Twin Hyper Progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market. It is responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park.
Designed for use throughout the mountain, the All Terrain Rocker® Baseline allows for effortless turns on hardpack but also provides ample float in softer snow and crud. A setback stance and medium rise through the tip with a lower rise in the tail defines this multi-purpose freerider.
Sidewalls
The K2 Turbo Dream Rocker Snowboard features the Harshmellow™ vibration force field. Harshmellow™ is a magical compound that maximizes fun by decreasing negative vibrations, leg burn, and rough landings.
Base
The 4000 Sintered base is the fastest natural base material available. It is exceptionally durable, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
