Product Details

Rocker Type

Precision Lifted™Bringing a new level of Pop to K2's Baseline offering, Lifted is just what it sounds like. Taking the flat between the feet foundation that all K2's boards are built on and simply raised it. This brings in the Pop of cambered boards while maintaining the even weighted contact points that give you the straight tracking, effortless precision of a flat board.

Tweekend™A revolutionary tweak to the ends of K2's industry leading Baseline technology. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, additional rideable surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.

Sidecut

Twin Hyper ProgressiveAn infinite number of different radii are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. The result is a super predictable feel that never hooks. Responsive at high speeds and smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park.

Core

W2Three species of renewable wood are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight, and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.

Laminates

Triaxial GlassA glass laminate with diagonal layers that stiffens the board torsionally, giving you improved edge hold and increased stability for those off-axis landings.

ICG 10Integrating carbon into the fiberglass reduces overall weight and creates a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness.

Sidewalls

Hybritech™Hybritech™ is the most efficient way to make a snowboard without sacrificing one ounce of performance. This construction features sidewall along the running surface that flows into the nose and tail to provide low swing-weight, optimized turn initiation and durability.

Base

4000 SinteredThis is the fastest base material available, with exceptional durability and wax retention.

Additional Features

Carbon Web™ IDesigned specifically to enhance Baseline technology, K2's Carbon Web brings the pop and snap of carbon closer to your bindings for maximum ollie power and control in every situation.

Great All-Mountain

Comments about K2 Subculture Snowboard 2014:

K2 really does make incredibly constructed boards; this board had a sturdy feel but when you wanted to you could really turn it loose and jib around. I rode this board on a day where there was no "fresh," overnight snow but a bit that was a day or two old and this board really floated in the powder. The rocker tip and tail made a huge difference and let you spin, carve and do whatever all while staying above the snow. The base was fast and the edges held well. This is one of my favorite all-mountain boards. I hit a fair amount of hip-transfers the day I rode it and I must say, this board loves to launch you and has a damp landing.

K2 Demo Day

Comments about K2 Subculture Snowboard 2014:

I got the opportunity to try out the Subculture Snowboard during the K2 demo day. Overall, I thought this was a very great product. I haven't tried out many different snowboards, I normally ride my TRS board by Lib Tech and I found this one different but just as easy to ride on and adjust to. I would consider myself an intermediate/advance snowboarder, I normally ride all-mountain and occasionally like to take laps in the park depending on the weather and snow conditions. When I tested this product we just rode all-mountain mostly. It was a little slow in the powder at times but on the groomed runs this board rode great. It had great stability and response and the transition from edge to edge was very fluid.

Comments about K2 Subculture Snowboard 2014:

I love this board. It is really responsive, it floats in the pow, and it is pretty good in the park. It's fast too. I am mostly a free rider and an all mountain rider. I use it as my all mountain board and i love it. It has really good pop cause of the carbon web in each end of the board. It also has K2's "tweekend" tips so when you butter it is not just 4 inches of contact, its the entire tip. I love it for the park too. It locks onto rails nice and it is a really easy board to take jumps with. Over all i love it and highly recommend it.

Comments about K2 Subculture Snowboard 2014:

This is a fantastic all mountain board. It carves very well and handles like a dream. It is fast right out of the gate and is very balanced. I had no trouble chaining turns together down steep or flat runs and it had great manners when not on edge flat crusing. It picks up speed at a high rate but is very controllable. I don't ride the parks but it handles moderate bumps with ease. I can't wait to try it on a heavy snow day!

Bought two of these boards and have had both of them break after one day of riding. Super weak and easily broken. K2 needs to fine tune their design and get me my money back!
