K2 Raygun Snowboard 2012

If you were shopping for one gun to do it all - hunting, skeet shooting, rap videos, etc…well, I guess we don’t know what kind of a gun that would be, but if you were looking for a snowboard that did it all, that my friends, we can help with. Introducing the K2 Raygun Snowboard built with All Terrain Rocker® Baseline that sets the pace for solid performance and goodtimes on the mountain. Hybritaper™ keeps it light and smooth making the Raygun the most fun for the buck.
Construction and Core
The W1 core is characterized by a single species of pure wood with proven flex, durability, and snap. This is K2’s standard core for entry-levle to mid-level boards.
Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. K2 blended the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it.
Shape
The Hyper progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market. It is responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to the park.
Designed for use throughout the mountain, All Terrain Rocker® Baseline allows for effortless turns on hardpack but also provides ample float in softer snow and crud. A setback stance and medium rise through the tip with a lower rise in the tail defines this multi-purpose freerider.
Base
The 2000 Extruded base is durable, fast, easy to repair, and easy to tune.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
