Hybritaper™ keeps it light and smooth making the Raygun the most fun for the buck.

Product Details

Construction and Core

The W1 core is characterized by a single species of pure wood with proven flex, durability, and snap. This is K2’s standard core for entry-levle to mid-level boards.

Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. K2 blended the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it.

The Hyper progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market. It is responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to the park.

Designed for use throughout the mountain, All Terrain Rocker® Baseline allows for effortless turns on hardpack but also provides ample float in softer snow and crud. A setback stance and medium rise through the tip with a lower rise in the tail defines this multi-purpose freerider.

The 2000 Extruded base is durable, fast, easy to repair, and easy to tune.

Comments about K2 Raygun Snowboard 2012:

The ray gun is a great board to take yourself to the next level of snowboarding. It initiates turns well, makes pow easy, and is overall a fun board. The rocker is based off the turbo dream for all mountain versatility but the board is a little soft for steeper or more challenging terrain. For under $400 this board is epic!

Comments about K2 Raygun Snowboard 2012:

I am an intermedaite snowboarding on the east coast usa, we don't get much snow over here but this board is a working wonder for me. It has performed perfectly in the park on steep terian and its amazing in powder. I would suggest this board to any snowboarding who wants a great bang for thier buck!

Comments about K2 Raygun Snowboard 2012:

Stunning powder board. Effortless turn initiation. A bit sketchy on hardback - won't hold a carve like a board with a bit of camber. Also is a bit twitchy running flat at high speed - the lack of camber seems to hurt the stability a bit. But overall, big bang for the buck.
