K2 Parkstar Wide Snowboard 2013

The park is your playground with the K2 Parkstar Wide Snowboard. Whether you are riding laps or jibbing out in the backcountry the Parkstar Wide’s killer construction enhances your performance. The Parkstar Wide feature Jib Rocker®, Carbon Web™ for super pop and Tweekend™ for a more stable platform.
The K2 Parkstar Wide Snowboard is a freestyle specific snowboard built for intermediate to expert riders with big feet looking for a board they can rip with in the park all day long with the durability to stand up to the biggest tricks you want to throw at it.
Jib Rocker® (20% Rocker / 80% Flat) is a versatile twin rocker that will destroy any freestyle line. There’s just enough rise from the tip and tails contact points for a loose, buttery feel without losing response and pop.
Tweekend™ tweaks the tip and tail of K2 boards by extending the rocker curvature all the way out to the ends, giving you more surface area to press, float and land on.
Twin Hyper Progressive sidecut technology blends differing turn radii to form a sidecut that’s mellow in the tips and more aggressive in the center. This results in a super predictable feel that’s never hooky, is stable at high speeds and is smooth enough to butter.
W2 Core feature three species of renewable wood chosen to optimize strength, reduce weight and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.
Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight.
Triax ICG10
Additional Features
Carbon Web™ I is designed specifically to enhance Baseline technology and brings the pop of carbon closer to your bindings for more energy in all your riding.
4000 Sintered Base is the fastest natural base material available. It’s exceptionally durable and absorbs deeper and retains wax longer.
1 degree Base Bevel

  • Terrain: Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
