K2 Parkstar Snowboard 2012

Hot laps here, GETTT your hot laps here. The K2 Parkstar Snowboard is back again for 2012 with the Jib Rocker® Baseline freestyle feel and pop that earned it a Good Wood award. New is the addition of Carbon Web™ bringing super pop while the Hybritaper™ makes it light and quick.
Construction and Core
The W2 Core is three species of renewable wood that are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight, and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.
Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. K2 blended the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it.
Carbon Web enhances Jib Rocker® Baseline technology by bringing the pop and snap of carbon closer to your bindings for maximum ollie power and control in every situation.
Shape
True twin shape
Jib Rocker® Baseline is a versatile twin rocker built to dominate the park. Just enough rise in the tip and tail to create a loose, buttery feel on all types of terrain. Contact points stay well off the snow until engaged, eliminating edge hook while maintaining fun pop
The Hyper progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all- around riding board on the market. Responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park
Base
The 4000 Sintered base is the fastest natural base material available. It is Eexceptionally durable, absorbs wax faster, and retains wax longer.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
