Rocker Type

Freestyle Baseline™Freestyle Baseline is a versatile twin rocker built to dominate any freestyle line. This shape has just enough rise in the tip and tail contact points to create a loose, buttery feel while maintaining instant response and pop.

Tweekend™A revolutionary tweak to the ends of K2's industry leading Baseline technology. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, additional rideable surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.

Comments about K2 Hit Machine Snowboard 2014:

-I am 5'6" about 140 lbs and the board I tested was the 2014 K2 Hit Machine 155. At 155, this board was about the right size for my height, but because it is a freestyle board, I would have preferred a smaller size. -I have been snowboarding for about 12 years now. I usually ride powder and off piste terrain, while taking the occasional lap through the park on my way down to the base. I typically ride fast down the groomers with minimal turns and also like to hit natural jumps when the opportunity becomes available. -Boards I have previously rode and enjoyed in the past are the Rome Agent 153 and O-Matic Sweet 154. These are all-mountain freestyle boards with a traditional camber. The Rome was slightly stiff and heavy while the O-Matic was light with a soft flex. -The K2 Hit Machine is definitely a freestyle oriented board. The board had a soft flex and felt fairly jibby on the flats. The base was faster than expected, I enjoyed the speed I was able to acquire on the board and the ability to get a decent amount of air off of natural jumps. -The terrain I rode when testing the board was hard packed, powder, ice, and groomers. The edges on the Hit Machine held up well through the hard packed, powder, and groomers, but was non existent on the ice. The board could use sturdier edges that dig harder when needed. Due to the soft flex, I felt I was really having to push the board to make it through the powder, this board did not feel well equipped to handle deep snow. On groomers, this board felt great with adequate edge hold and a very fast base. -Overall, the board handled well. Although it is a freestyle board, I was able to ride the entire mountain without any major problems. As a park board, I definitely recommend this board due to its soft flex, reduced edge hold, and fast base. The board generates a fair amount of pop off of jumps, and I can imagine that it can press well while offering the right amount of jibability to throw down in the park. If you ride the entire mountain with minimal time in the park, I would recommend a more all-mountain oriented board.

Comments about K2 Hit Machine Snowboard 2014:

This is amazing! I love this board, after about 5 mountain trips we are totally in sync and I am really happy with this board. It's great for spring skiing and I've been improving with this board. It allows for quick, smooth turns and gains some great speed down the hill. Perfect intermediate board.

Comments about K2 Hit Machine Snowboard 2014:

Only ridden this thing once so far but can already tell it's a great board. It's the first board I've ever tried with any kind of rocker. So that being said this board has great flex to it, presses great and boxes felt the best they ever have. Jumps felt real good as well.Just cruising the mountain this board is fairly fast and holds an edge great which is saying a lot when your riding jersey snow (a lot of ice). All in all it's a great board for the price, I need a bit more time to really get the best feel of this one but I would definetly recommend this board to a friend.

Comments about K2 Hit Machine Snowboard 2014:

I got the hit machine as a park board and it turned into a quiver killer! I took it on rails, 45 footers, buttering down catwalks and powering through glades. I loved it! Not a big fan of the graphics and it was miserable in thick pow but for jibbing, small-med/lg kickers, long groomers, and quick edge to edge shredding through trees, this is your board. I dinged it when I toe picked on a fallen tree in some thick pow but I was surprised it didn't break it more considering the speed I was going. As I said, not a big fan of the graphics so I stickered it up. Unfortunately it was stolen off a rack so I only had one for about half a season.
