K2 Fling Snowboard -- Women’s 2009: It’s tough to find a women’s snowboard that isn’t advertised as a “smooth, easy ride” or for “women just starting out.” The downpour of these kinds of marketing labels suggests that most female riders are beginners or want a board that makes snowboarding easier. If a board is described as advanced, it’s usually in comparison to male snowboarders, such as “this board rips just as hard as the guys, and you will too.” When was the last time you saw a male snowboard advertisement that promises guys “this board will help you shred harder than any girl on the mountain”? Hmm. K2 also noticed these discrepancies and they are taking action to do away with worn and torn stereotypes about female shredders with the K2 Fling Snowboard. The freestyle Fling is tailored for a woman’s body geometry. With a 4000 Sintered Base waxed with the fastest natural base material available, this board is a speeding bullet down the mountain. The revolutionary versatility is made possible with the Dual Progressive Sidecut and Rhythm Core that creates playful pop matched with a sturdy slicing edge for carving. Medium Flex allows enough flexibility for big grabs, yet enough stiffness to absorb your landing. The K2 Fling isn’t just top of the line excellence for a women’s snowboard, it’s excellent for any snowboard, and any gender.

Comments about K2 Fling Snowboard - Women's 2009:

I just bought this board about a month ago off the evo outlet. [...] I headed up to Sunday River, Maine to test her out, both on the mountain and in the park. I couldn't believe the amount of pop it has as compared to my Burton Lux and Sims Citrine. It is by far the best board I've ever ridden and would reccomend it to anyone. It is lightweight, and a real good looking board. It would be a little difficult for beginners though, because its iffy to ride in powder and you need to be able to control yourself if you catch an edge. Its also really quick, and can be hard if you don't know how to carve (or stop for that matter). Other than that, this is a great freeride board for anyone who knows what they are doing on the mountain.
