K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard 2012

Built to give you the confidence of a 10,000-man army, the K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard explores the entire mountain with Catch Free Rocker Baseline for less effort and more shred at a value that’s unbeatable.
Rocker Type
K2’s proven Catch Free Rocker® Baselinetechnology is easy going and confident, achieved by bringing the contact points out of the snow. This small amount of rocker combined with a softer flex results in quick edge grip and unlocks faster progression on all terrain.
Construction and Core
K2’s W1 core that is characterized by a single species of pure wood with proven flex, durability, and snap
Hybritech™ construction tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce swing weight. The K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard features sidewall construction along the running surface that flows into the nose and tail providing low swing weight, optimized turn initiation, and durability.
Shape
True twin shape makes it easy to ride in any direction you want.
The Hyper progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market - responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park.
Flat base allows for smoother turning and quicker edge to edge response.
Base
The 2000 Extruded base is fast, durable, and easy to tune and repair.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
