K2 Believer Snowboard 2011

K2 Believer Snowboard: The staple team-driven steed, the K2 Believer Snowboard combines forces this season with Serum vs. Venom – one of NYC’s most infamous fashion houses. As 2010’s runaway style maven, gold foil hits, urban sky fragments and years of Good Wood awards define this board. But don’t let the good looks fool you. Conditioned by infinite backcountry hits, the K2 Believer Snowboard is equipped with a Flatline™ profile, Hybritaper™ and other construction must-haves. The only question remaining is… do you believe?
Flex
The K2 Believer Snowboard is a very versatile board, which is great for anyone looking for a more advanced board that can take them anywhere on the mountain. Twin-tip Hyper Progressive shaping mellows out transitions and makes your ride super smooth.
Construction and Core
The K2 Believer Snowboard is made of a WH3 Core that is three species of renewable wood with two strips of HoneyKomb material between the bindings and the rails
Hybritaper™ tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. K2 blended the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it
WH3 wood core maintains durability at the lightest weight possible
Shape
True twin shape
Demanded by the International Pro Team and proven through multiple awards, K2 is the leader in development of this base profile. Preloaded, stable, and turn-ready, Flatline promotes a supremely balanced, smooth ride for both aspiring and accomplished pros
The Hyper progressive sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all around riding board on the market. Responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park
Base
4000 Sintered base is the fastest natural base material available. Exceptionally durable, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Flat
    Flat
A flat profile is just as you’d expect – flat from near the tip of the board to near the tail. This shape splits the difference between camber and rocker, with more forgiving turnability than a fully cambered board and more precise edging capability than a fully rockered one
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Stance: Centered
