Cruise down untouched lines and straight into the park on the Jones Twin Sister Snowboard. The Twin Sister features a twin profile with a directional flex which results in a freestyle machine with a freeride spirit that transforms the mountain into your own personal skatepark. Early rise rocker in the tip and tail gives the Twin Sister excellent float in deep snow, while camber underfoot and Mellow Magne-Traction edges offers supreme edge hold on the hard packed. Strategically placed Carbon Stringers dampens your ride while providing you with that extra snap when you need it most. From gnarly tree lines to stomping huge park kickers, the Jones Twin Sister Snowboard is an easy choice.
Camrock A unique rocker/camber flex pattern defined by evenly balanced tip and tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. CAMROCK improves freestyle finesse by keeping your tips playful while maintaining the power and pop of camber underfoot.
Blunt Nose "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn, or any snow condition more then an inch deep is dictated by its front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight." -Jeremy Jones.
FSC® Wood Core The FSC® wood cores come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. ALL Jones Snowboard Cores are FSC®.
Hard Core (Poplar / Beech) Jones' signature core, the Hard Core, is a hybrid wood core designed for the ultimate pop, power transfer and durability. Featherweight Poplar stringers in the middle of the core are framed with bulletproof Beech stringers under the edges to produce a core that combines the snappy, even flex of Poplar with the damp responsive benefits of Beech. Framing the sides of the core in the Beech Hardwood creates unparalleled energy transfer to your edge and helps protect the board from harsh side impacts.
Triax This lightweight, multi axis, stitched fiberglass laminate provides torsional stiffness, pop and response for precise controlled riding in a multitude of terrain and snow conditions.
Carbon Stringers Carbon stringers are added to select models to improve pop and torsional stiffness and increase the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day one - precise and playful.
Sintered Base Fastest natural base material available. Durable, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.
Flip Flop Base By flip flopping the base graphic colors, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.
Mellow Magne-Traction™ Maximizes your edge hold between your feet so you have better control and stability even on the iciest slopes. Magne-Traction™ varies in the serration depending on the board; regardless it will deliver a catch-free ride any day. "Magne-Traction™ is a key ingredient for rockered board designs. Adding rocker to your board makes it glide more smoothly, but it makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Magne-Traction™ is crucial to offset the drift typical of rocker flex patterns." - Jeremy Jones.
Stronger Edges Jones added 35% more steel than a typical edge. What this achieves is a 250% increase in impact resistance compared to other edges offered on the market today.
Film Topsheet A thin piece of film replaces the traditional plastic topsheet. This eliminates plastic and reduces the weight of the board.

Comments about Jones Twin Sister Snowboard - Women's 2014:
I was riding a Lib Tech Trice 156 as my go to board. I heard really good things about this board and decided to give it a shot. I down graded in size quite a bit to a 149 but I wanted this board to be my quiver and felt that my Trice may be just a little too big for those groomer days. (kept the burton cartel bindings tho) Turns out I love this board. It turns on a dime, super easy to maneuver in the pow, floats well and holds an edge well when transiting from sketchy ice crusted sierra cement to true pow. Only complaint is the modified magine traction. Guess I am just use to the full magine traction that was on my Trice and hopefully I will adjust but it just does not hold an edge as tightly in true ice. This board is super fast and stable at high speeds. No one can catch me, and its awesome. The tip seems to ding and chip a little easier than other boards I have ridden, had to do some extensive Ptex work on the tip to keep it sealed as I was kind of worried about past delam issues that Jones has had. But I have not seen any signs of this after the repair. The base repairs well, found a couple rocks in the trees and luckily escaped without a core shot. But over all super solid board, i'm very happy with my purchase and would make it again in a heart beat. Jones truly stepped up to the plate this year and fixed the quality control issues he had in the past.
Comments about Jones Twin Sister Snowboard - Women's 2014:
This review is based off two full days riding the board on beginning of the season conditions aka "fast snow" aka "ice" in the North East. I also normally ride a 154 or 156 but the sizing stopped at 152 and may be why I feel it's not a really fast board (in retrospect I should have purchased the mens 154). Great carving, holds really well on ice, amazingly responsive and is a very playful board. Very stable straight lining at speed. Graphics are perfect paired with my 2013 Absolute premium bindings. This is my first Jones board coming from the Salomon Ivy/ Burton Fortress and I don't see a difference in quality yet. The edges are still clean and the base shows no alarming difference in wear.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the lack of speed.
