The world is riddled with countless amounts of problems that people face everyday. However, there is one problem that has now been solved for good: "What snowboard do I need to really take to the backcountry?" The Jones Solution Wide Splitboard has answered this question with a resounding "ME!" The Solution offers Mellow Magne-Traction edges to grip any snow conditions. Whether you have the board split for long treks through the wilderness or strapped together to shred the most remote chutes, the Mellow Magne-Traction edges are sure to give you grip you need on the snow. Add that to the Blunt Nose and a legit tail and you get superior flotation while still being able to ride switch after throwin' down tricks in the backcountry. If you've ever questioned what snowboard you need for the backcountry, then stop asking and pick up the Jones Solution Wide Splitboard.
Directional Rocker This hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern is defined by more tip rocker than tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. The rockered tip gives the nose added float and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot gives you added edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free.
Flex Rating (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) 7, perfect for backcountry and big mountain riding
Blunt Nose A blunt nose adds the flotation benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight.
FSC Wood Core The wood is derived from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
Full Wood Cores Full poplar and beech wood gives the board more solid snap.
Carbon Stringers Improving pop and torsional stiffness and increasing the longevity of the flex profile while providing durability that makes day 100 feel just like day 1 - precise and playful
Triax Fiberglass All Jones Snowboards include TRIAX Fiberglass, utilizing dual density fibers to strengthen high impact zone without adding weight or changing the over all flex of the board.
Sintered Base This is the fastest natural base material available due to it's durability and the ability to absorb/retain wax. Added carbon nano particles create a better glide over the snow.
Recycled Base P-Tex scraps are recycled into new bases to reduce the carbon footprint of the board.
Flip Flop Base By flip flopping the base graphic colors, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced due to an increase in the material yield.
Mello Magne-Traction Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Magn-Traction improves edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
Stronger Edges A 250% increase in impact resistance is due to the 35% more steel Jones uses in their edges compared to the industry standard.
Wood Topsheet The wood topsheet dampens the ride for chatter-free performance while reducing the carbon foot print of having to produce plastic/lacquer prodcuts.
Stone Grind Finish All boards come with a stone grind finish to ensure the proper structure of the board.
Alu Protrect State of the art strength aluminum tip protectors: elastomer is bonded to the aluminum to absorb vibrations.

Comments about Jones Solution Splitboard 2013:
been having a great time using this splitboard this season. a great all around board. holds on ice, surfs through pow (though honestly unfortunately haven't had many of those days this season), And is solid on landings off any bc features you may find.
seems to be really well built. have hit some rocks during low times without a scratch!
I use with karakoram and really like the set up. only con for me would be that it could be a tad lighter
