Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard 2012: A one board quiver killer, the Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard rips terrain like a freestyle board with a freeride heart. The Mountain Twin features CAMROCK rocker that frees up the tip and tail offering extra float in soft snow while camber underfoot combined with Mellow Magne-Traction gives the Mountain Twin the snap and hold of a traditional board.
Flex
The Mountain Twin kills it all over the mountain thanks to its softer tip and tail and camber underfoot that offers the hold riders desire.
Construction and Core
FSC Approved Full Wood Core - the wood comes from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of all generations. The core is a full poplar and beech wood core that offers a solid snap.
Mellow Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of the board. A key ingredient for rockered boards, Magne-Traction allows it to glide more smoothly.
Carbon Stringers are added to improve pop and torsional stiffness and increase the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day 1.
Shape
Cam Rock is a unique rocker/camber flex pattern defined by an evenly balanced tip and tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. Cam Rock improves freestyle finesse by keep your tips playful while maintaining the power and pop of camber underfoot.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sintered base is made of the fastest natural base material available. The base is durable, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.
Film topsheet replaces the traditional plastic topsheet, eliminating plastic and reducing the weight of the board.

Comments about Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard 2012:

Awesome board for the pow, but super playful for the park/jib/groomer days as well. Nicely poppy and responsive, the centered stance and twin shape make this board a true all mountain freestyle deck. No joke.

Comments about Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard 2012:

This is a great designed board. I wanted a deck that was a bit shorter than I usually ride, so I went with the 155. I am really used to regular camber boards, so this style was new to me. Getting off the lift I had a hard time controlling myself sideways waiting to go. Once up to speed things smoothed out, but still felt a bit slippery. I learned the deck was best when I was always on edge, which it did a great job of holding up. In powder or crud snow I am sure this deck wouldn't have any problems. On the ice hardpack I didn't have as much confidence riding the deck flat. Again I didn't have the chance to ride in crud/pow with it. If you have experience with rocker decks then this would be a sweet deck for you. I might have better luck with the 159. Anyway this deck has the sickest graphics and shape. It gets tons of looks.

Comments about Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard 2012:

Over the last few seasons I have been riding a noodly reverse camber park board that's great in the park but not so great anywhere else on the mountain and a very good pow board. I bought this board to fill in the middle, I was looking for a board for those non-pow groomer and park days when edge hold and speed rule the day. I couldn't be more pleased with how the Mountain Twin has handled our Cascade Concrete. The edge hold is fantastic, the flex is good and the base is fast. Jeremy Jones says that this is the board that he rides on resort days, which makes a ton of sense, it's perfect for getting your all mountain fix. The cam-rocker took a few runs to get used to (since I was coming from reverse camber) it felt a bit sketchy when flat based, but once I found that sweet spot the camber profile combined with the very mellow magne-traction held an edge very well and was very quick and easy edge to edge. Tons of POP! Boosting off of rollers and jumps is soooo easy. I haven't had the opportunity to ride it in pow yet, but to be honest it probably won't see anything deeper than a foot (I have a great pow board for the deep days). Highly recommended, I really can't think of anything I don't like about this board.
