this board is amazing. very very fun, and good at everything, all the hype about banana traction technology is not a joke, it really works. i also have a skate banana, and this board is a little stiffer but just as playful and fun and you wont have nay trouble doing presses with it

I upgraded to a BTX this year and all I can say is WOW.
Every bit as much of a board as my last two, but a ton more fun. here is the banana lowdown.
1. handles ice just the same as a regular MTX board.
2. Handles hard pack crud better than regular MTX, you can lean back a little and the board wants to float over it rather than getting the heck shook out of you.
3. POWDER wholly schnizzle If you like riding POW and cant afford a POWDER specific board this is the only board you will ever need. The board rides like nothing I have ever felt before, it is kind of like you are riding a lunch tray with a ton of float. What I mean is that you can make quicker adjustments and the thing floats like a cork in a pool of jello.
4. Butters and presses are easy as pie, 100 yard tail press down the cat tracks are now a cake walk.

My only complaint about Mervin(GNU, LIB-TECH) is that in order to save weight and use less edging product their edges DO NOT wrap around the full length of the tip and tail of the board. Pretty much the only damage on all of my Mervins are on the tip or the tail they nick and split easily.

All i can say is WOW! I read all the reviews that talked up BTX and wasnt sure what to expect, but this thing is a BEAST!!! I've been wakeboarding for over 10 years and this thing rides more like a wakeboard than any snowboard i've been on. By shifting the weight slightly on your toes or heels, the board carves instantly without having to pivot the back foot. It holds an edge well, even through variable conditions and floats through powder like a dream. I've read that this board is stiffer than other BTX models, but i think it's perfect. It's flexible enough to butter all over the mountain but still stiff enough to hold up when ur haulin' ars. It's super snappy with plenty of pop. This thing is truely an all-mountain freestyle MACHINE that is a quiver killer. I'm hooked on BANANAS and i'm never goin back. Camber is for old-timers!!! To put it simply, when i ride my Chiquita, i'm happier than a pig in[*]
