GNU Park Pickle BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard 2011: The pickle is one of those things that comes from the earth where you look at it and think that God must have a sense of humor. And you’ll be laughing your f@*!ing ass off after you’ve ravenously eaten up the park like a monkey eating a banana. Speaking of bananas, this board is built with twin asymmetrical banana technology BTX that has revolutionized snowboarding. What is it with Mervin Manufacturing? Pickles, bananas… they’re obsessed.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5.5-6 (Depending on size) (1 Soft-10 Stiff): Designed for riders who live in the park but want a tad more support than a limp noodle.
Construction and Core
Twin Asymmetrical Banana Tech BTX provides balance through asymmetry and the revolutionary Banana Rocker Technology applies more pressure inward to the edge area at and between your feet. reCURVE Magne-Traction camber/rocker combination is designed to give you the float of a rocker in the pow and crud, with the liveliness and performance edge of camber on the hardpack and ice
Asym AG Aspen core.
Shape
Twin Asymmetrical Banana through Asymmetry!
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
UHMW sidewalls
Magnetraction serrated sidecut has 7 points of contact to turn ice into powder.

Comments about GNU Park Pickle BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard 2011:

most amazing ride! I initially demo'd it at Breckenridge for two days in april 2010(on junk bindings); was so blown away I bought it online a month later. My friends all thought i lost my mind buying snowboard gear in May/June.

I finally used "mine" for first time on our home (mid-west) spot last friday (12/10/10) and it turns/charges on mid-west ice when other boards were chattering and making that dreaded "cressssh" lost edge sound! The base is fast, lean on that backfoot and flat base the banana and it was like a whole nother gear....and we were all on new boards and I was on the 150cm when my dudes were on a 156 or 154cm (and they all out weigh me by minimum of 50-lbs!

The assymetric heelside handles switch effortless with a duck stance, switch no longer matters and was the biggest thing i noticed over my LibTech TRS. I agree, dont label this a park board, it handles it all. I've turned three guys on to LibTech TRS, and they loved thier first ride as well, but this board is definitely a game changer. Been riding since 1997, and MTX/BTX with toe cap bindings are seriously that next step in snowboarding. I'll get to ride a LibTech C2BTX TRS 156cm here soon and may update this review......but, for now this is my 2cents: Buy it you can find the scratch to do so- Pete

Comments about GNU Park Pickle BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard 2011:

This board ROCKS! Don't believe the hype about it being just a park board. It's in my opinion a all mountain board, this board went wherever i wanted to go with ease. Not only ease but comfort, it carved through the pow, grooms, and trees just the same. This board i'm definitly going to buy, it's the best board i've ever rode in my 15 years of snowboarding. It was also fast as heck! I had union bindings and they felt right on this board. Go buy it!!!!

Comments about GNU Park Pickle BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard 2011:

I thought that this was a good all around board. Magnatraction for the firm days and just great for all the others. Other than it being a little on the wide side, i love this board.
