GNU B-Street BTX (Russian) Snowboard - Women's 2012

GNU B-Street BTX (Russian) Snowboard - Women's 2012: An unbelievable all mountain freestyle board, the GNU B-Street BTX (Russian) Snowboard is built with Banana Rocker Technology, a sustainable wood core and Magne-Traction. Whether you are just picking up a board or are a veteran of the mountain, the GNU B-Street BTX will shred with you in the corduroy and through to the pow.
Flex Rating: 4.5-5.5 (Depending on size) (1 Soft-10 Stiff): The perfect board for any lady from entry level to ripper status who feels that the whole mountain is her personal playground.
Construction and Core
Mervin A.5 Eco farmed wood core with Sandwich construction and Bi-axial glass is light in weight without sacrificing stability and performance.
Fun and easy to ride, Banana Rocker Technology (BTX) applies more pressure inward to the edge area at and between your feet. While your stance presses out the rocker, the tip and tail are still flat for enough stability without sacrificing float.
True Twin combined with a centered radial sidecut, means this board rides perfectly in both directions on any terrain
Banana Rocker tip and tail, traditional camber underfoot
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
UHMW Sidewalls
Magne-Traction 0.75 Shred technology gives better edge hold and makes for an easier ride. Magne-Traction edges cut into the snow like a knife giving you more edge hold and control. Magne-Traction has 7 distinct contact points strategically placed for tip/tail control while maintaining freestyle freedom
Sintered 9900 Alloy Base is compressed for maximum wax absorption and durability

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
