GNU B-Pro Splits C2 BTX Splitboard - Women's 2014

After last year's award laden debut, the GNU B-Pro Splits C2 BTX Splitboard is back in 2014 to give you a smooth, stable and fun ride down untracked lines. The B-Pro Split features Gnu's C2 BTX rocker giving you mild camber out to the contact points and rocker between your feet for unreal tip and tail control, power and pop combined with float, freestyle freedom and carving. Magne-Traction edges and LCP fibers throughout make this a lightweight, strong and smooth ride that can handle ice and pow with ease. Suffer the climb and reap the rewards of wide open pow fields on the GNU B-Pro Splits C2 BTX Splitboard.
Rocker Type
C2 BTX Agro Performance Banana / Camber - Rocker between your feet combined with radial cambers out to the contact. Aggressive riders enjoy unreal tip and tail control, power and pop combined with the float, freestyle freedom and carving of rocker between the feet.

Flex
Flex 5.5-6 Depending on Size - Medium flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. It's built for riders who enjoy plentiful response but still need a forgiving board for progressing skills.
Shape
Twin All Terrain Geometries - A symmetrical shape gives you equally precise performance riding regular or switch. This shape designed is to tackle the entire mountain from pow to park.
Core
SNF CGA2 Columbian Gold, Aspen - Ultra light and strong
Laminates
LCP Liquid Crystal Polymer Fibers - LCP was used as the foundation for the interplanetary Mars lander tires. Built into GNU snowboards these strong light, damp aramid polyester fibers quiet chatter from rough Martian terrain and create an incredibly smooth, poppy, lightweight ride.
Sidewalls
Fast, rugged UHMW sidewalls
Base
Sintered Base - Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. This base slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions.
Edges
Magne-Traction - Serrated edges give great edgehold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and blue ice!
Topsheet
Bio Beans Topsheet - GNU has made a commitment to using a new earth friendly, bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry. While there is clearly still the need to invade small, helpless, oil producing countries for money and power, this new age of bio-plastics offers hope of a more peaceful and fruity future.

Specs

  • Terrain: Splitboarding
    Splitboarding
A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
