GNU B-Pro C3BTX Snowboard - Women's 2014

GNU
Shop all GNU
The longest running women's pro-model snowboard, the GNU B-Pro C3BTX Snowboard is back in the 2013-14 lineup. Featuring Magne-Traction Edge technology paired with LCP fiber throughout, GNU gives the B-Pro more pop and less chatter for a lightweight, strong, and smooth ride. Twin shape with all-terrain geometries makes this board a pow surfing, freestyle killer. This B-Pro features the GNEW! C3BTX camber dominant rocker, giving you traditional camber out to the contacts and a mild Banana rocker between your feet for precise tip and tail control, maximum end to end stability on big, high speed lines, takeoffs and landings. This is camber the way camber was meant to be! Part of the proceeds from this board's sales goes towards Boarding for Breast Cancer, so ride and provide.
Rocker Type
C3BTX Agro Performance Camber / Banana - The new C3BTX is camber the way it should have been designed, with aggressive, dominant cambers out to the contacts and mild rocker between your feet. C3BTX gives skilled riders precise tip and tail control, maximum end to end stability for big, high speed lines, takeoffs and landings. Subtle banana rocker gives freestyle freedom, float and incredible carving.

Flex
Flex 4.5-6 Depending on Size - Medium flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. It's built for riders who enjoy plentiful response but still need a forgiving board for progressing skills.
Shape
True Twin - A symmetrical shape for equally precise performance riding regular or switch
Core
SNF CGA2 Columbian Gold, Aspen - Ultra light and strong
Sidewalls
Fast, rugged UHMW sidewalls
Base
Sintered Base - Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. This base slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions.
Edges
Magne-Traction - Serrated edges give great edgehold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and blue ice!
Topsheet
Bio Beans Topsheet - GNU has made a commitment to using a new earth friendly, bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry. While there is clearly still the need to invade small, helpless, oil producing countries for money and power, this new age of bio-plastics offers hope of a more peaceful and fruity future.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
