GNU B-Pro C2BTX Snowboard - Blem - Women's 2013

Barrett Christy’s GNU B-Pro C2BTX Snowboard continues to set the standard for women’s pro models year after year. Its classic C2BTX/Magne-Traction™ combo is the perfect balance of camber at each end and rocker between your feet. The camber gives the board stability and pop for big landings, critical lines, and aggressive weight changes, while the rocker between your feet makes for great carving on hardpack and ice as well as easy float in powder. New this year is LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) fiber integrated into the construction to provide a super damp ride. Don’t put this board in a box and stick it in the closet, it’s meant to see the snow. GNU team rider Barrett Christy donates a portion of her royalties to Boarding for Breast Cancer ( Note: This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.
Rocker Type
C2 Banana Camber Technology (C2 BTX) - This combines rocker underfoot with radial camber to contact points for perfect carved turns and edge hold on ice, plus pop and stability for air and landings.
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 4.5-6 (depending on size)
Medium flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. It's built for riders who enjoy plentiful response but still need a forgiving board for progressing skills.
Twin Geometries - Allow riding regular or switch with equal ease
Mervin AG2 Sustainable wood core
Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) - Fibers are light and strong aramid polyester fibers that have exceptional vibration dampening capabilities.
Sintered Base - Very porous and absorbs wax well
Magne-Traction™ - Serrated edges have seven distinct points of snow contact to provide great edge hold on hard snow and ice.
Bio-Beans - A bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ration of any top sheet in the industry

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
