GNU B-Nice BTX (Yago) Snowboard - Blem - Women's 2013

The GNU B-Nice BTX (Yago) Snowboard brings GNU's best technology to a board suited for progressing riders who want a forgiving board that still allows them to rip. Whether you're just learning to smear turns in the powder or jib in the park, the B-Nice BTX has what it takes to take you to the next level. With Magne-Traction™ and BTX Rocker, this board is ready for anything you can throw at it. Note: This is a factory blem board and may have slight cosmetic damage.
Rocker Type
Banana Technology (BTX) - All terrain rocker placed specifically where it belongs, between your feet, creates a nearly flat profile from outside the binding to tip and tail with full tip-to-tail edge contact when you stand on your board for all terrain performance. Banana tech is easy to ride, rips the hard pack and ice, kills the jibs, and floats the powder unbelievably.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 4-5 (depending on size)
Medium flex handles everything from corduroy, powder, to big mountain obstacles. It's built for riders who enjoy plentiful response but still need a forgiving board for progressing skills.
Shape
True Twin - Twin (equal length and equal width) tip and tails combined with a centered radial sidecut rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle. Park, powder, pipe: perfect.
Core
Mervin A.5 Sustainable Woodcore - Full Aspen core with EISS 5 edge for pop/strength
Base
Co-Extruded Base - A GNU sublimation system exclusive oddity is hard, fast, and virtually maintenance free. It loves a good wax job but, still slides well when you forget to wax.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
