GNU B-Nice BTX (Fumi) Snowboard - Women's 2012

A nice board at a nice price, the GNU B-Nice BTX (Fumi) Snowboard does it all! Built with Banana Tech, a sustainable wood core and Magne-Traction, the GNU B-Nice floats, carves and is so much fun. Easy riding makes lady riders happy.
Rocker Type
Fun and easy to ride, Banana Rocker Technology (BTX) applies more pressure inward to the edge area at and between your feet. While your stance presses out the rocker, the tip and tail are still flat for enough stability without sacrificing float.
Flex
Flex Rating: 4-5 (Depending on size) (1 Soft-10 Stiff): Magne-Traction is specialized snowboard geometry making boards easier to ride and ideal for lady riders from entry level to ripper status.
Construction and Core
Mervin A.5 Eco farmed wood core with Sandwich construction and Bi-axial glass is light in weight without sacrificing stability and performance.
Shape
Directional Twin has a longer tip than tail combined with a centered radial sidcut; the nose floats and the shorter tail reduces surface area for added deep snow control
Banana Rocker tip and tail, traditional camber underfoot
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
EISS 5 UHMW Sidewalls: sidewall laminated to 5 layers of endgrain birch on the inside
Magne-Traction serrated sidecut has 7 points of contact to turn ice into powder.
CX 2500 base is durable and ready to hammer.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
