Forum Manual Snowboard: Riders who want an amazing, unrivaled jib snowboard will seek out the Forum Manual Snowboard. The shape is perfectly symmetrical with a long running length and short nose and tail. The Forum Manual’s short tips reduces “hooking” the nose or tail when jumping onto rails and obstacles. The long running length means you can downsize about three to four centimeters from your normal size snowboard. Shorter means lighter and in turn; easier to ollie. The Forum Manual’s Biax glass delivers smooth flex for kicked-up pressing, from street jibs to the terrain park fun boxes.

  • Core:GNARTM - Wood is good. The GNAR™ is a basic core with a superior feel. Lightweight and flexible with an incredible amount of pop. This core is snappy and responsive for total freestyle fun.
  • Laminates:Biax- This is the foundation from which every other laminate configuration is derived; basic and completely functional. This construction offers time-tested, catch-free response and stability through its 0º/90º fiber orientation.
  • Base:Free Base- This base is the smooth under surface of your snowboard that, when combined with gravity and inertia, allows you to glide effortlessly down the snowy hill. And as it’s name implies, the Free Base comes free with purchase.
  • Board Shape:Twin
  • Core Profile:Twin Flex: 3

Comments about Forum Manual Snowboard 2009:

Seriously? you rated this board less because the topsheet cracked? Yes the topsheet will crack, it's a JIB STICK, it isn't made from top of the line materials, it IS meant to get beat up and keep riding. I would hate to see what you write if you actually hit street rails and made the base all furry, or gave it a core shot. My guess, because you were riding this board in powder for some reason, is that you are just starting out and you think a 300.00 board is expensive, and have no experience in what "normal wear and tear" on a snowboard is.

I have the 147 from the season previous, this board is AMAZING!!! Don't take that last review into account. While it is a short board it rides bigger, great for rails, ok for jumps (depending on the size you get). The board is engineered so you can ride a shorter boar (i weigh 150 lbs, and if i went with the 150 cm. i would have been at the bottom of the weight range). This deck is all around fun and catch free (without rocker even!) and I will most likely bring it off the wall again to ride it next season even if i buy a new board. Best thing to do if you are researching getting a board is to go to your local skate/snow shop and talk to them..... and then BUY IT from them.

Comments about Forum Manual Snowboard 2009:

I have used this board in pow and park. It rides awesome in both, especially jibs. The flex is no doubt the best from what I've rode in the past. It has a lit of pop too, straight from flat ground tricks.

Only set back is that it isn't tough enough and takes a good amount of damage.

Comments about Forum Manual Snowboard 2009:

The board rides great! Does well on jumps, even better on rails and boxes. Performed just fine in Colorado in the deep pow! However, I am now on my third board due to the top sheet cracking and chipping like glass. Sure its cosmetic and doesn't affect the ride but for the money spent on the board I would expect a much better construction. Burton/Forum needs to pick up the slack on this board.

Comments about Forum Manual Snowboard 2009:

This board is amazing if you're shredding park. From rails to jumps, this board will allow you to ride away clean. When your on a rail, the board will rarely catch and the flexibility makes it easy to press. If you're hitting jumps, this board will make you stick the landing even if you're a bit backseat. This board spins with ease and almost every grab is possible. only thing that could be a problem is powder. The short tips make it easy for them to sink in. There is a solution to this. you can always move your bindings in closer so you can get a bigger tip. Overall this board is a amazing. It's fun to ride and it doesn't hold you back.

This board is sooooo sweet, in the park in town or on he mtn! It's very light and flexabile, jibs like a dream. It's a camber shape board so any off axis landing and ur going down. It's got so much pop it's unreal. So easy to setup and hit whatever u want!
