DC PBJ Snowboard 2013

The DC PBJ Snowboard is much more than just a park board for jibbing. This board features a melting pot of all mountain versatility combined with park stomping forgiveness. With the new Anti-Camber rocker style, this board makes for a fun and playful ride, turning the whole mountain into a playground. The choice board for freestylers and daredevils, the DC PBJ Snowboard will guarantee you will never have a dull moment on the hill.
Rocker Type
Anti-Camber - The board is flat between your stance, and curved away from the snow outside the stance. Less Anti-Camber translates to more power and drive, while more Anti-Camber makes the board more playful and forgiving.
Flex
(1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5, The medium flex allows the DC PBJ to be flexy and playful in the park with just enough drive to play around the rest of the mountain.
Flexalite Tip Construction - 30% lighter than traditional constructions helping to reduce swing weight; the new flex from this is designed to give you more control on tricked out presses
Shape
Radius 2 Flat - Flat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge.
Core
Astro Core - A space age composite core reinforced with wood that is designed for optimal freestyle performance
Camber Core - Allows a rocker board to have the same pop and stability of camber but maintain the fun and surfy feel of rocker by adding a unique arch shaped profile to the wood core within the Anti-Camber zones
Laminates
64.20 BI-AX - Two directions of glass fibers woven tightly together for a forgiving and torsionally flexible ride; this gives you increased board control and feel without sacrificing strength
Base
Structurn™ Base - Small dimples in the base break water tension to allow your board to glide faster, turn easily and allow you to ride longer.
True Base - Fast, durable and easy to maintain
Topsheet
Fresh Deck Topsheet - Adds a snap and life to the board that you can only get from natural wood
Graphics
Graphics are screened on the wood and then sealed to protect it from the elements, while still keeping its natural feel.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
