CAPiTA Horrorscope Wide Snowboard 2013

The CAPiTA Horrorscope Wide Snowboard is one of the best selling CAPiTA models ever produced. Featuring an easy to handle Urban FK Rocker profile, you'll be jibbin' with ease while still having seamless flotation in powder. Constructed with a WDT Engineered Jib Core you're sure to get an extremely flexible board for superior pop and jibbing that doesn't sacrifice any durability. Take the CAPiTA Horrorscope Wide Snowboard downtown for some epic rail sessions or to the most pristine park for some ridiculous kickers; either way you're sure to have an amazing ride.
Rocker Type
Urban FK - Twin Dual reverse camber FK jib and park machines: whether you're in the streets or at the resort, they're pre-positioned for pressing and never hanging up.
Flat Kick - Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and gives quick edge to edge transfer.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 3, perfect for freestyle riding
Sidecut
Radial True Twin - A radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.
Core
WDT Engineered Jib Core - The WDT (Wood Derived Technology) core was designed to give jibbers and park riders the softer flex patterns they want without sacrificing durability. Pressure bonded wood composite materials retain the classic feel of a full wood core board while increasing flex values. Engineered for freestyle, park and street rail boards, the WDT core has high elasticity characteristics surrounding low-density wood fibers. This balance provides a new realm of lightweight, soft flexing boards, with a damp ride and dependable durability.
Laminates
Pre-Cured 420 - Engineered to compliment the WDT core construction, the Pre-Cured 420 configuration consists of 370 g of e-glass in the 0˚ direction and 50 g of e-glass in the 90˚ direction. It's pre-cured for consistency and exits the mold with a high yield of energy memory.
Sidewalls
Silkscreened ABS Bomb Proof Sidewall
Base
HTP Extruded - The High Transparent Extruded base features an altered molecular composition allowing more vibrant graphic options while maintaining the low maintenance and technical benefits of extrusion.
Edges
360˚ Steel Edge
Topsheet
Sublimation + Silkscreened Topsheet
Binding Compatibility
2 x 4 Mounting Inserts - Gives the rider more mounting options

  • Terrain: Freestyle, Powder
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Soft
    Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
