Burton Vapor Snowboard - Demo 2012

As light as vapor, no lighter, the Burton Vapor Snowboard returns for the 2012 season lighter, stronger and more responsive. The Burton Vapor features the NEW Ultrafly Core and offers the highest performance camber board ever; designed for power, precision and control. Bringing out the best in every rider, the Burton Vapor is smooth, light and ready to refine your riding. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Camber offers a snappy suspension and distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board allowing for smooth continuous edge control from tip to tail.
Flex
Flex rating: 6 (1 soft -10 stiff)
Medium-stiff flex handles everything from morning groomers to hard, icepacks and can venture to the pow.
Twin flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile regular or switch, frontside or backside.
Construction and Core
Vaportech™ Construction enhances strength-to-weight and sets the industry standard for snow-sensitivity, rideability and overall durability.
NEW Ultrafly core is the lightest engineered core with revolutionary strength-to-weight and performance. Multizone EGD™ grain direction puts the wood in four separate zones, perpendicular to the core and adjacent to the channel for ultimate strength and edge control.
Carbon Vaporskin™ fiberglass with Carbon I-Beam features high amounts of carbon on a minimized topsheet membrane resulting in superior weight-savings, snap and energized response.
The M6 Channel focuses power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech and allows you to micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats.
Infinite Ride™ assure the board will maintain its flex, pop and feel from day one and for years to come.
Shape
Directional Shape is the most versatile snowboard shape, designed with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow and control.
Pro-Tip™ tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sintered WFO base infuses specially formulated wax deep into the pores of the extra-absorbent high-density sintered material resulting in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season.
Slimrail sidewall is a streamlined, ultra-minimized sidewall design that shaves weight without sacrificing edge-hold or strength.
Stainless Frostbite Edges beneath bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
