Burton Family Tree Anti-Social Splitboard - Women's 2014

Forget about long lines and slow chair lifts, you have a new love now. The Burton Family Tree Anti-Social Splitboard will bring an all new snowboarding experience to you. For years, splitboarding has been the domain for bearded dudes, but now more ladies seek the fitness and freedom of exploring the backcountry terrain, so Burton designed a splitboard to make sure female riders could level the playing field. The 2014 Burton Anti-Social is the board that will pave the way for women to dominate the backcountry terrain. The Anti-Social will have you leaving the popular resort atmosphere for a more solitude, ruggedness, only accessible to the brave and well-equipped. The Burton Anti-Social features a lightweight design, a women's-specific shape, Burton's signature S-Rocker™, with a slight taper for a fast, effortless float in deep snow and a smoother uphill glide when gaining vertical in the skin track.
Rocker Type
S-Rocker™ - Speed and float are your friends, and that's what S-Rocker™ is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, then transitions to camber between your feet. Compressing the camber causes the entry rocker to lift the nose, thus improving float while maintaining momentum and stability through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Very Stiff) - A medium flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings.
Directional Flex - This versatile flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control and flow through all terrain and conditions.
True Flex - True Flex™ optimizes women's board design to match the geometry and finesse of female riders. Torsional softness underfoot transitions to stabilizing zones between and outside your feet. The result is improved stability, effortless edge control, and energized pop in the tip and tail.
Shape
Directional Shape - The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Core
Super Fly II™ Core - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight. This is further optimized for float in Burton's freeride focused boards.
Laminates
Triax™ Fiberglass - Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred
Base
Sintered Base - Durable and highly porous, get added durability and superior wax absorption for greater overall glide.
Edges
Dualzone™ EGD™ - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Additional Features
Gondola package - Setting the benchmark with boards that are lighter, faster, and stronger for more air, quicker turns, and more fun no matter what the terrain or conditions
Infinite Ride™ - This Burton-exclusive technology allows Burton to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Binding Compatibility
The Channel - This offers the quickest, easiest way to mount your bindings with most stance options possible. Take control of your stance and your board like never before. Micro-adjust your width and angles with ALL major binding formats including EST®, Re:Flex™, and Disc. M6 hardware means compatibility with all major binding companies, making it a choice for any rider.

Specs

  • Terrain: Splitboarding
    Splitboarding
A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
This features rocker in the nose and a camber extending under the feet through the tail. It is Built for riders that demand superior grip, stability, and responsive performance, but who still want to be able to float in powder.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
