Burton Blunt Wide Snowboard - Demo 2012

Burton Blunt Wide Snowboard - Demo 2012: Here comes the Burton Blunt Wide Snowboard, a true twin trick stick that filters top-of-the-line tech to couch surfer levels. Effortless to ride thanks to its rocker design, and with edges that are turned up and de-tuned, the Burton Blunt is easy to shred and virtually impossible to catch an edge on.
Flex
Flex rating – 3 (1 Relaxed – 10 Responsive), perfect for those who ride mostly in the park, hitting rails and nailing jumps
Construction and Core
Fly® Core tip to tail wood core, constantly improved upon in terms of flex, feel, pop and strength
Jumper cables are ultra-light carbon stringers that radiate energy outward from your feet towards the tip and tail. Beyond adding amplitude to your ollies, they also create more snap when powering through turns.
Shape
V Rocker – continuous rocker between your feet and in front of your feet towards the tip and tail creates catch-free playfulness and improved float from peak to park
Pro-Tip™ tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility
Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile regular or switch
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Frostbite Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining ever forgiving in softer conditions
10:45 sidewalls: extra meaty, dual angle geometry results in bomber impact absorptions
Biax™ Fiberglass features a jib-friendly, low-torsional flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel
Speed, strength, graphical pop in an extruded base that requires little maintenance
RailReady™ Tune beveled sidewall so you can slide without hang-ups, yet still get grip for slashing and jumping

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Effective Edge: 1175mm ( 153W), 1205mm (156W), 1235mm (159W), 1265mm (162W)mm
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
