Burton Blender Snowboard 2013

What do you get when you put a powder board and a park board in a blender? Yup you guessed right, you get the Burton Blender Snowboard. This board destroys park and powder, for people that use one board to do it all. The Catch-free V-Rocker™ provides excellent float on powder, while the new Overbite Frostbite technology gives you enhanced grip, so you're not losing control on groomers. If you want a board that will be fun to ride on the entire mountain, then you're going to want to pick up the Burton Blender Snowboard.
Rocker Type
V-Rocker - Continuous rocker between your feet and in front of your feet towards the tip and tail creates catch-free playfulness and improved float from peak to park.
Flex
Flex Rating:3 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A medium flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings
Twin Flex - The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Women's-Specific True Flex - True Flex™ optimizes women's board design to match the geometry and finesse of female riders. Torsional softness underfoot transitions to stabilizing zones between and outside your feet. The result is improved stability, effortless edge control, and energized pop in the tip and tail.
Shape
Twin Shape - Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.
Scoop - This exaggerated tip and tail scooping turns up the edges for a looser, more forgiving feel.
Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Core
Super Fly® Core - Lightened up and loaded with pop, this vertical sandwich of hard and soft woods saves weight and improves snap and response.
Dual Zone™ EGD™ - Engineered Grain Direction manipulates the angles and direction of wood grains in the core for superior edge-hold, response, and durability.
Laminates
Triax™ Fiberglass - Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred
Base
Sintered - Fast and durable base that holds wax well, 20% recycled content
Edges
Side Effects - Lengthening the surface area at the tip and tail contact points improves edge-hold and allows the board to plane easier in powder. Enjoy a livelier feel and enhanced grip on groomers along with added float for overhead days.
Overbite Frostbite Edges - This evolution in edge tech gives you more fang with less bang by increasing the amount of Frostbite by up to 0.75 mm. It doesn’t sound like much, but the result is a huge increase in grip on hard, icy conditions while remaining smooth and catch-free.
Graphics
Base color may vary; don't freak out it still looks cool.
Additional Features
Hi-Speed Quad Package - Adding performance, speed, and strength while reducing weight with results even a novice will immediately appreciate, you will find many of Burton's team riders on these boards.
Infinite Ride™ - This Burton-exclusive technology allows Burton to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Infinite Ride™ will maintain your boards flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel - Gives you the ability to micro adjust your stance and is compatible with Burton EST™, Re:Flex™ and Disc bindings, as well as bindings from Forum, Drake, Union, Flow, Flux, Ride, and K2 with adapter

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
