Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2010: The 2010 Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard must be the area 51 of snowboarding. But, like people who have seen aliens, those that know, know and claim this snowboard to be the most amazing freeride snowboard out there. This is not just because of its magic carpet powder floating ability. It gets better with the Triple Base Technology drawn back making blasting powder turns easier as you initiate turns where your bindings are, not where the big wide powder nose is. What makes it really stand out is that when the powder isn’t there or when you are bombing icy slopes or traverses trying to get to it first, the 2010 Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard has more edge hold and carving ability than any other of those “specialized” powder snowboards out there.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:The size 168cm is actually a 167cm length board even though it is physically stamped as a 168cm.
  • Flex and Rider Style:Flex Rating: 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff). Freeride snowboard that is intended for riding anywhere, anytime, anyway.
  • Construction and Core:Wood (Poplar/Birch) with tri-ax over the woodcore with Bi-ax under the core creates an easy flex with lots of feel. Bataleon’s Triple Base Technology (TBT): The key lies in the dynamic base split into three separate riding bases front and rear of the bindings. It allows for normal camber over the entire length of the snowboard which gives stability at high speeds, support at landings and it distributes the rider’s weight and pressure evenly along the steel edge. At the same time, the Triple Base lifts the edges progressively towards the nose and tail and takes the aggressiveness away from the widest parts of the snowboard, but gives you all the edgegrip you may wan
  • Sidewalls and Edges:Super Strong Sidewalls
  • Base:Synthered 3000 is cheetah-fast. Great wax absorption, tough as nails.

Great powder board. Takes some time getting confidence at high speeds on the groomers/hardpack.

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2010:

One look at the board and the shear size of it is intimidating. This board is a monster it can go faster then you would ever want sometimes that gets you in trouble if your not an experienced rider. I have raced a couple of skiers down when they got cocky and boy where they suprised when I would pull away when I lay this board flat. The TBT helps alot carving side to side with such a large board it doesn't feel much different than a 162cm. It handles suprisingly well in the trees as the TBT just lets you float side to side through the narrows. Groomers are scary on this board as it huge and has a considerable set back I explain the feeling is like power sliding a Ferrari down the hill. All in all it is the best Freeride board I have ever owned and will buy another one when this one is done. Make sure you ride this board hard or it will ride you.

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2010:

I needed a Pow Stick that could support my weight, I'm 6'1 220 lbs so my 159cm LibTech TRS wasn't cutting it in the deep powder. I wanted something that floated but didn't want a board that was to long since I like doing trees. This board was a good balance, it floats so easily, and is long/wide enough to support my body weight when not hauling down the steeps.

The TBT while minimal on this board is noticeable, it's like you don't even need to edge while doing trees you kinda just rudder it and it starts floating in that direction. I was skeptical but this TBT thing is fun. You can also butter this board and not worry about catching an edge, it was odd at first since I felt like I had to lean so much to dig my edge in but I adapted after a run.

I totally recommend this as a all-mountain board that handles powder extremely well. I'm going to Silverton next week so I'll update this review to let you know just how much pow this sucka can handle.

Comments about Bataleon Undisputed Snowboard 2010:

Picked up this board for the season and it is my main stick. Forget everything you knew about snowboards once you've ridden on TBT.

This board is fast, strong, and more than capable of taming my 6'3 220lb frame while providing a comfortable ride without washing out in powder.

I use it for freeride and the stiffness is definitely a plus at high speeds.

This has to be the best snowboard I've ever used, hands down. Burton, Lib Tech who?

Excellent all mountain board. Does very well in powder, trees, groomed, etc. Very tough and solid. Easy and smooth turns even at the longest length.
167 works well with large (11-12) size boots.
I think I found my perfect board :)
