Bataleon The Jam Snowboard 2012

Aggressive to the max, the 2012 Bataleon Jam is Bataleon’s most aggressive all-mountain board, perfect for those riders that can’t be bothered waiting for family, friends or pretty girls. Just point it down the fall line and get on with it; the more aggressively you ride this board, the more you’ll get out of it. The Jam features Freestyle TBT which is like adding power steering – your edge-to-edge transitions will be quicker than Darth Saber’s light saber. Long story short, the The Jam Snowboard is your weapon of choice when you want to take the whole mountain apart with precision and speed.
Rocker Type
Triple Base Technology (TBT) - A TBT snowboard is flat between the bindings with angled side bases that are lifted with gradually increasing angles. The uplift starts from flat in the binding area to a maximum increase at the widest point of the board.
All-Mountain TBT - Center Base is about 1/3 of tip/tail width. Extended middle flat. Slightly more sidewing uplift in nose than tail. Optimized for a more directional ride with a slightly more narrow center base for fast edge to edge and extended center flat for high speed stability.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Stiff - 10 Soft) - 5, Very good overall freestyle
(Note: Bataleon operates of a flex rating, not measured by stiffness. A more flexible board will have a higher number rating associated with it.)

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
