Bataleon Push Up Snowboard - Women's 2014

The Bataleon Push Up Snowboard supports ladies traveling at high speeds, enhancing their riding skills beyond imagination. With a responsive Core Core and a soft-mid flex, the Push Up is playful and poppy at low speeds yet stable and responsive at high speeds. A twin contact shape with a directional outline improves powder float without losing any freestyle capability. Featuring All Mountain TBT, which has a narrower center base for agile carving and a higher total upturn to give great float in powder, smooth carves and maximum stability at high speeds without becoming too directional. It’s the board for girls who like riding everything: From park to powder and back again, via tree runs and icy groomers.
Rocker Type
Triple Base Technology (TBT) - Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail area into 3 parts: 1. The left sidebase for turning left. 2. The center flat middle base for going straight. 3. The right sidebase for turning right. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it gives the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. On edge, the camber is loaded and ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile, the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 - A versatile medium flex. Playful, forgiving, and responsive.
Shape
All Mountain TBT - A narrower center flat base section together with a longer flat section between the feet delivers faster riding with superb edge-to-edge response and maximum stability at high speed. With a very slightly directional TBT, the board is optimized to ride forward, but is more than capable of performing switch should the need arise. All Mountain TBT does what it says on the tin: performs over the whole mountain. If a day for you starts with bashing a powder stash, is followed by on-piste cruising and finishes with a few park laps, then this is the profile for you!

Directional - Directional shape and flex. Tapered with a wider nose for supreme float in powder.
Core
Core Core - Poplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the insert rows. This increases the board's core strength and channels stored energy to deliver more pop.
Laminates
Tri-Ax Laminate - Tri-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fiberglass layers aligned in three directions (two at 45 degrees to the edges and the extra one along the boards length). This generally increases the stiffness and stability of the board to deliver maximum precision in your riding.
Base
Die-cut Base - Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Extruded Base - Easy to repair and takes a beating! Low maintenance and still slides well with irregular waxing, not that the guys at Bataleon are condoning anything other than a militant waxing regime (like Rihanna's).
Edges
Lightning Edge - Thinner lightning edges enable you to carve with more feeling and precision, and they weigh less.
Binding Compatibility
Stacked Pack 4 x 2 - Stacked Pack 4 x 2 - The 4 x 2 / 22 patter offers maximum precision in your binding positions with 22 inserts for a large total stance width range.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
