Bataleon Project Green Snowboard 2010: Although the 2010 Bataleon Project Green Snowboard is made with all the latest green alternative materials that we could get our hands on, it’s still mostly green because of its color. This snowboard is more representative of the Bataleon company as a whole. Bataleon produces all their snowboards in Austria in a factory that has some pretty hardcore green policies in place from way before it became fashionable to be green. Bataleon believes the best we can do is reduce the sport’s impact on the environment and the 2010 Bataleon Project Green Snowboard is a direct representation of that belief.

  • Flex and Rider Style:5 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff). Freestyle snowboard that is intended for freestyle riding, whether that may be in the park, a staircase in the city, or backcountry pow diving.
  • Construction and Core:Wood/FSC Certified – This wood core is made with wood taken from sustainable sources. Tri-ax over the woodcore with Bi-ax under the core creates an easy flex with lots of feel. Bataleon’s Triple Base Technology (TBT): The key lies in the dynamic base split into three separate riding bases front and rear of the bindings. It allows for normal camber over the entire length of the snowboard which gives stability at high speeds, support at landings and it distributes the rider’s weight and pressure evenly along the steel edge. At the same time, the Triple Base lifts the edges progressively towards the nose and tail and takes the aggressiveness away from the widest part
  • Sidewalls and Edges:ABS Recycled Sidewalls
  • Base:Recycled Base is made out of recycled base material that is grinded up and compressed to solid fresh base that is good for nature. Bataleon recommends using soy wax on this one.

Comments about Bataleon Project Green Snowboard 2010:

the hardest thing for me when riding switch is hooking and catching the widest part of the edges. the tbt on the bataleon REALLY helps me. feels like a stable rocker board. plus its a green board so you feel like your actually helping change the tide. i could center my stance and rip up a backcountry jump regular and switch easily. it is a little heavier and slower than my old palmer but that was a high end board. so not bad. its a keeper

Comments about Bataleon Project Green Snowboard 2010:

Went to triple base last year with the Evil Twin, haven't looked back. Had a shorty 151cm with the evil twin, was looking for something a little stiffer and longer for that pow. Picked this up in a 157, absolutely in love with it. Small setback stance and directional shape make all the difference- nose is big enough to float but board but the board is not too shaped is not impossible to ride switch if you get into tricky situations in the road. Stiff enough to carry speed and carve up the groomers, float above pow, but still has good amount of flex (rated "5" out of 10 by bataleon... in comparison my evil twin is 5 at nose and tail and 3 in the middle and that thing is buttery smooth). TBT is the truth- lightning fast edge to edge, hard to catch edges and smooth as whipped cream in powder. Bataleon yeah for it buy one!

Comments about Bataleon Project Green Snowboard 2010:

I picked up the 161. I have used it in powder, and groomers so far. The board feels very stable, and manages to still ride like its a 157. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that might contribute to the stability.

Comments about Bataleon Project Green Snowboard 2010:

let me start off by saying I have only used this board three times so far, and that is all. But my initial thoughts are that the triple base tech is purely amazing. You can dig really deep on your carves an the board always feels stable. Edge to edge response is nuts and the board is poppy and tons of fun to ride. I was used to a bit stiffer board and had to correct a lot more on landings, this board is way more forgiving and I squeezed out of a couple landings that I would not have been able to on my old one. You feel more connected to your. It does what you want it to.

The looks of the board are a lot cooler in person than in photos. The top is a matte green that is a bit brighter than the pictures on the site. And it shows the wood grain through it as well. Really cool looking board. Got several compliments on it from other people while I was in the lift line. The base is understated and really cool. My 161 has the green speckles on black. really cool looking board. My old white with green clip cartels look baller on it.

I have been using my old cartels thus far but plan on grabbing a pair of the prophecy bindings with my x-mas money. I expect a lot more feel in from them. Should be one sick set up.

Overall, I would say get this board. It might take a little getting used to the feel due to the TBT initially, but I loved what it was doing after about two runs. SO far I see no downsides of this board I am very very happy with it.
