The Bataleon Fun.Kink Snowboard is the best of both worlds, giving you the power of camber and Bataleon's Freestyle TBT, mixed in with freestyle features such as a soft flex and a true twin profile for a board that turns the entire mountain into your own personal park. Freestyle TBT offers raised edges in the nose and tail for numerous benefits, including enhanced butters, float in powder and many more. The Bataleon Fun.Kink brings on maximum pop for throwing down your huge bag of tricks in the park or anywhere else on the mountain.
Rocker Type
Triple Base Technology (TBT) - Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail area into 3 parts: 1. The left sidebase for turning left. 2. The center flat middle base for going straight. 3. The right sidebase for turning right. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it gives the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. On edge, the camber is loaded and ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile, the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.

Flex
Flex Rating: 3 - An overall medium-soft flex, catered to freestyle riding. 3-4-3. Slightly stiffer waist versus the tip and tail. Great for pressing, sliding, and urban jibbing.
Shape
Directional - Directional shape with a twin symmetrical flex. Slightly longer nose than tail, but the portions of the base in contact with the snow are the same in both directions.
Freestyle TBT - Freestyle TBT is the most 'all round' TBT shape in the range. Featuring a traditional camber profile on the center base section which possesses a medium / wide width to retain decent stability on presses and rails. There is now a longer contact length (still without TBT) between the feet to minimize twitchiness at high speed. Freestyle TBT is still symmetrical about the nose and tail for equal performance when riding switch as forward. A 'good for everything' shape with fast edge-to-edge freestyle looseness and great overall stability.

Core
Toughcore - Made with pressure bonded wood composite that is very hard to break, yet very flexible. Specially developed to reach a soft jib flex without sacrificing strength.
Laminates
Bi-Ax Laminate - Bi-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fiberglass layers aligned in two directions at 45 degees to the edges. This creates an easy and forgiving flex, which allows you to really feel the terrain.
Base
Extruded Base - Easy to repair and takes a beating! Low maintenance and still slides well with irregular waxing, not that the guys at Bataleon are condoning anything other than a militant waxing regime (like Rihanna's).
Edges
Hammer Edge - Hammer edges are thicker, tougher, stronger and more durable than your average edges. That's good when they are up against metal rails and concrete stairs, but it's also useful when the powder is not quite as deep as it looks!
Binding Compatibility
Precise Pattern 4 x 2 - The 4 x 2 / 20 pattern allows you to attach your bindings with scientific precision.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
