Product Info

If there was a bank on top of the mountain and you were being chased by the ski patrol for robbing it, the Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard is the board you would want to be riding. The Evil Twin features Twin TBT, giving you a smooth curving profile providing stability at high speeds, with a large, flat base width for easy presses and rail slides. This board also features a super light and snappy Core Core with a Tri-Ax Laminate lay-up for a poppy, lightweight ride that gives you all the response and snap you can handle, as well as the ridiculously fast sintered base to quickly get you out of any sticky situation.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Triple Base Technology (TBT)Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail area into 3 parts: 1. The left sidebase for turning left. 2. The center flat middle base for going straight. 3. The right sidebase for turning right. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it gives the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. On edge, the camber is loaded and ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile, the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.

Flex

Flex Rating: 5A versatile medium flex. An all purpose flex that allows a smooth transition between freestyle and all-mountain riding.

Shape

TwinCompletely symmetrical geometries and flex from tip to tail

Twin TBTTwin TBT is great for park riding. The center base section now features a traditional camber (Smoothly curving) rather than trapezoidal camber profile, but TWIN TBT retains a large enough flat base width for easy presses and rail slides. These boards feature longer contact lengths between the feet than JIB or PARK for more stability at speed! Twin TBT is a half-way between the TBT's specialized for riding rails and kickers.

Core

Core CorePoplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the insert rows. This increases the board's core strength and channels stored energy to deliver more pop.

Laminates

Tri-Ax LaminateTri-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fiberglass layers aligned in three directions (two at 45 degrees to the edges and the extra one along the boards length). This generally increases the stiffness and stability of the board to deliver maximum precision in your riding.

Base

Sintered BaseFast! Great wax absorption and as hard as nails. These bases come with factory wax already infused. Top it off regularly to get the most out of the base.

Edges

Lightning EdgeThinner lightning edges enable you to carve with more feeling and precision, and they weigh less.

Binding Compatibility

Party Pattern 4 x 2The 4 x 2 / 22 pattern offers maximum precision for your binding's position with 22 inserts for a large total stance width range.

Comments about Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard 2014:

The evil twin is a great board for the intermediate or advanced snowboarder who like to get better in park riding. it is so flexible that you can jib al along the park and its nice for riding switch. I like to use switchback forward lean bindings and nike boots, its nice to have some stability on a flexible board as the evil twin. its not the best all mountain board, but you will get used to it in no time. This Board gave me a bon3r and i assure you it will have the same affect on you. (there is a female version of the evil twin with different effects but the same quality)

Comments about Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard 2014:

I recently picked up the Bataleon Evil Twin. This board with Switchback bindings is the best and most fun setup for the mountain whether you're riding the mountains natural terrain or in the terrain park. The board has TBT, a triple base technology, which combines camber and rocker into one shape, and has uplifted sidebases which divides the nose and tail into 3 sections! It really allows the board to float around, keeps it pressy, jib fun, has responsive edge and poppiness that I really like to have in a board so I feel stable when I'm going fast and ready for jumps!

Comments about Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard 2014:

I have ridden this baby on rails and small jumps so far. It's fantastic at popping onto rails and not catching edges at all on them. It's flexibity makes it easy to press and lock onto rails. On small jumps it performs great and the TBT definitely helps you stomp landings. The TBT is very fun for turning and makes for a catch-free experience. This board is great for all mountain and it performs great all over the mountain! I would recommend this board to anyone who wants a fast, flexible, fun board that will be used for park and all mountain; maybe a bit of pow.

Comments about Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard 2014:

The Bataleon Evil Twin is perfect for those who do not like the loose and less poppy feeling of a rocker board, yet also do not like to ride the park with a hardcore camber board.
The board has a well-balanced stiffness, making it stiff enough to hit the XL kicker line, yet also flexible enough for rails. This means that the Evil Twin is the ideal park board for the more experienced rider that rides the entire park.
It handles OK when carving down the slopes, with a very smooth edge to edge transition due to the triple base. However, it cannot match the responsiveness and explosiveness of a true camber board, like the DC MLF I own as well. If you look for a more poppy feeling, you might want to try the new Boss, which is basically an Evil Twin with carbon stringers for extra pop. At times, I experienced the base to be a little slow, which is a drawback for someone that rides indoor a lot. In powder, the board performs like any other park board; it's hard work.

In short, the Evil Twin is the perfect park quiver, which also does the job outside the park.

Comments about Bataleon Evil Twin Snowboard 2014:

After owning a few (very) flexible boards I was looking for something a bit more stiffer for riding kickers as well as rails and the Bataleon Evil Twin is just perfectly balanced for me. But also just riding it around the mountain it is a lot of fun because it is just so easy to play with.

I would say this is a perfect board for someone who wants to ride all features in the park without having to switch boards.
