Bataleon Enemy Snowboard 2013

If you were shocked at the price tag, don't feel bad; we were too until we looked at what the Bataleon Enemy Snowboard has to offer. First off, the Nano Carbon HS Base will ensure you are the fastest rider on the entire mountain and is normally only reserved for specialty racing boards. Next the Carbon Bi-Ax Laminate greatly reduces weight while still bringing liveliness and precision to the board. Last, but most definitely not least, is the Carbon Stringers that improve strength and pop while decreasing the weight even more. This board is truly the best of the best of the best and it really deserves an even higher price tag! Check out the Bataleon Enemy Snowboard before these behemoths of technology sell out!
Rocker Type
Triple Base Technology (TBT™) - The side bases have gradually increasing angles starting from flat in the binding area, to maximum lift at the widest points. This makes the board forgiving when ridden flat, but still super grippy when put on the edge. Combining a full tip to tail classic camber with a rail to rail concave, it blends the looseness of a rocker shape board with the pop and response of camber. The unique thing about TBT™ is that even when the rider's weight is pushing down on the board the edges stay lifted. On edge the camber is loaded ready to pop you into your next turn. Meanwhile the edge is fully engaged with a solid power distribution along a smooth edge curve.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) - 7, perfect for all-mountain riding and powder
Shape
ALLMOUNTAIN TBT™ - Optimized for a more directional ride with a narrower center base for fast edge-to-edge transfer and extended center flat for high speed stability
Sidecut
Directional geometry prefers going forward
Core
Verylight Core - A superlight core that is still strong enough to stand up to Bataleon's brake tests. Made of poplar enhanced with Paulina wood.
Laminates
Carbon Bi-Ax - Carbon biaxial laminates bring liveliness and precision whilst reducing weight.
Carbon Enhanced - Added Carbon stringers save weight while adding strength and pop.
Base
Nano Carbon HS - Normally only used on racing boards. If you keep it waxed you will be the fastest person on the entire mountain.
Edges
Lightning Edge - Enables you to carve with more feeling and precision
Edge Bevel - All Bataleon boards leave the factory with a 2-3˚ edge bevel for an ultra smooth ride straight out of the plastic.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Powder
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
