Bataleon Distortia Snowboard - Women's 2012

Ladies, with the Distortia, it’s time to take pride in riding differently from the boys.. Take those booty drops from the clubs to the boxes with a narrower, softer board - the Bataleon Distortia feels right at home in the park. The Distoria is specially adjusted, narrower version of TWIN TBT™ with the wider center base offers extra stability for hitting jumps and boxes; while still keeping it super forgiving and loose. Wide stances are not a problem with the Distortia. Forgiving and fun are the most important factors in the Bataleon Distortia.
Rocker Type
Triple Base Technology (TBT) - A TBT snowboard is flat between the bindings with angled side bases that are lifted with gradually increasing angles. The uplift starts from flat in the binding area to a maximum increase at the widest point of the board.
Twin TBT - Wide center, flat base. Great for park riding because the wider center base stabilizes your jumps and railslides. The uplift on the side bases give a super loose and forgiving feel.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Stiff - 10 Soft) - 7 / 8 / 7, Playful in the nose and tail, softer in the middle
(Note: Bataleon operates of a flex rating, not measured by stiffness. A more flexible board will have a higher number rating associated with it.)
Shape
True twin
Core
Core Core - Poplar core with hardwood enforcements along the insert rows. Thi increases the core strength of your board and channels all energy into more pop.
Laminates
Bi-Ax - Lamination over and under the woodcore creates an easy flex with lots of feel.
Base
Extruded - Easy to repair and can take a good beating. Low maintenance, still slides well with irregular waxing.
Edges
Edge Bevel - 2-3˚ of edge bevel for an ultra smooth ride straight out of the plastic.
Lightning Edges - Thinner edges to enable you to carve with more feeling and precision.

**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.

4x2/20 - This insert pack enables you to put your bindings on with scientific precision.

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
