Arbor Element Snowboard- The Arbor Element is a technically advanced all-mountain board for riders who readily transition from one terrain, snow condition, or riding style to another. Its balanced design provides the versatility needed for the true “ride-it-all” experience. The Arbor Element Snowboard was designed to freely initiate into any spin or line alteration and hold a solid edge at speed, in the steeps, and through the pipe.

  • FULL-LENGTH WOOD TOPSHEET:An exclusive technology that creates a one-of a-kind aesthetic, while improving performance. The Element topsheet is made from sustainably harvested koa wood. Koa, or “warrior” wood, is native to the Hawaiian Islands and was first used 1,000 years ago by the Polynesians to build the original surfboards.
  • PAULOWNIA WOOD CORE:An ultra-lightweight core made from a 50/50 blend of paulownia and poplar. Paulownia is an ecologically cultivated, balsa-like species. Unlike balsa however, it has the strength of traditional core materials, which allows Arbor to deliver maximum weight reduction with no loss of durability.
  • SIDEWALL-SINTERED-P-TEX:Pioneered by our friends at Never Summer, sintered "p-tex" sidewalls provide maximum durability and edge control. PROGRESSIVE (TRI-RADIAL) SIDECUTS- A triple radius sidecut that provides speed and landing stability with improved turn/spin initiation.
  • SINTERED BASE:An advanced UHMW sintered compound provides unmatched durability, wax absorption, and speed. STRUCTURN FINISH- StrucTurn is an advanced base finish that builds structure into a board's running surface, significantly increasing turn-ability and acceleration. The StrucTurn finish works like stone grinding, it prevents a vacuum from forming between board and snow. Unlike stone grinding however, a StrucTurn finish creates a smoother, more effective riding surface, with a consistent, scientifically proven flex pattern.
  • CARBON FIBER REINFORCING:Inlaying carbon fiber down the center of a board creates a compression strut that livens up a board's longitudinal flex without messing with turn/ spin initiation and release or landing recoverability. QUADRAX FIBERGLASS- An advance fiberglass material woven on the 0°, +45°, -45° and 90° axes, improving edge control and stability. DURAFILM- Durafilm is an ultra thin layer of high gloss nylon that protects the wood and bamboo topsheets from damage caused by loose bindings or out-of-control skiers.

Comments about Arbor Element Snowboard 2008:

I've been riding for 13 years. All of that has been in the Northeast, and most of that time has been spent in VT. The Arbor Element is hands down the most enjoyable board I have ever had (Burton Canyon + Seven, GNU Rider's Choice, Donek Incline, Palmer). The board is super strong, and crazy fast. It holds an edge in a fast carve beautifully, and has pop off jumps. I set it up with Union Force-DLX bindings and the wood grain binding on the wood grain board gets tons of compliments (granted, looks are secondary, but this board looks so good it could sit on your wall and still be worth the $$). If you like bombing down the steeps this is your board. If you like floating over powder this is your board. If you like cruising down a nice long green this is your board.
