Arbor Element RX Snowboard 2012

The ride-it-all addiction of a growing rocker community is nicely fed with the Arbor Element RX Snowboard. The Element RX delivers rooty style and high-end performance on mountain, in the park, and well beyond. Built with the Mountain System Rocker Design, feature Grip Tech and Parabolic Rocker, the Element RX is the quintessential do everything design.
Rocker Type
The Mountain System Rocker features the Parabolic Rocker Profile that is a true rocker design based on parabolic arch that allows the rocker to gradually dissipate as it reaches the tip and tail.
Flex
Shadow flex is a slight tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings that improves: turn and spin initiation; tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings; and performance on rails, boxes, and jibs.
Construction and Core
Power Ply bamboo topsheet works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass that structurally enhances a board for added return and improved durability. Arbor’s wood Power Ply is produced using a range of sustainably sourced, natural wood veneers.
Mystic 1 Core is a high-grade core for mixed mountain or park performance; built using FSC certified, sustainably produced “TDS” poplar and reinforced with two bamboo axels running tip to tail down the center of the core. The bamboo axels create compression struts that liven up the longitudinal flex without affecting turn or spin initiation and landing.
2x4 inserts provide both a wide stance range and amazing micro adjustability.
Shape
Directional Twin shape
Unblended Progressive sidecut is Arbor’s unblended tri-radial sidecut technology; better known as “Grip-Tech.”
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Rhythm rails sidewalls are made from an advanced blend of ABS and urethane; delivers durability, a clean, acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.
Rocket base is a higher molecular weight, wax-infused sintered base that provides unmatched durability and speed.
Recycled steel edges are built with hardened steel made using 60% recycled steel; provide maximum edge performance.
Ultra-thin protective top foil made using 30% caster bean based bio-plastic. This top sheet protects the board from damage caused by loose bindings, out-of-control skiers, or other unforeseen impacts. It also eliminates the need for environmentally harmful clear coats.

Comments about Arbor Element RX Snowboard 2012:

I got this board because I live for deep pow and trees, preferably at the same time. For those purposes, it is exactly what I was looking for. Getting to the stash on the runs it is not the greatest, in chop at high speeds I have a lot more issues than I did with my previous standard camber Burton. Sometimes it seems like it is impossible to slow down, the edge hold is definitely not what you get from a cambered board. I've had to ditch a few times to avoid hitting the gapers. That said, it does all the things a rocker board is supposed to do well, and I can live with it everywhere else.

Comments about Arbor Element RX Snowboard 2012:

Im from New England so conditions can be unpredictable and downright terrible to say the least. I just bought this board for the end of this season and it has really done the job i had hoped it would do thus far. The edges grip the new england ice and the true rocker system has given me a different feel and control that i hadnt experience in a board before.
