Arbor Coda Snowboard 2012

An all mountain beast that really kills it, the Arbor Coda is ready to charge hard, are you? Built for all-aspect performance, the Coda features the System Rocker and Directional-Twin shape. The Coda brings on the versatility riding powder, dominating technical steeps, powering through tight trees and carving groomers.
Rocker Type
Parabolic Rocker Profile is a true rocker design based on parabolic arch that allows the rocker to gradually dissipate as it reaches the tip and tail
Flex
Shadow flex is a slight tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, improves: turn and spin initiation; tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings; and performance on rails, boxes, and jibs.
Construction and Core
Power Ply bamboo topsheet works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass that structurally enhances a board for added return and improved durability. Arbor’s wood Power Plys are produced using a range of sustainably sourced, natural wood veneers.
Mystic 2 Core is built for more aggressive big-mountain riding, built using FSC certified, sustainably produced poplar reinforced with bamboo along the rails for significantly improved initiation and durability.
2x4 inserts provide both a wide stance range and amazing micro adjustability.
Shape
Directional Twin Shape
System Rocker
Unblended Progressive sidecut uses Arbor’s unblended tri-radial sidecut technology or “Grip Tech”.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Rhythm rails sidewalls are made from an advanced blend of ABS and urethane; delivers durability, a clean, acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance.
Rocket base is a higher molecular weight, wax-infused sintered base that provides unmatched durability and speed.
Recycled steel edges are built with hardened steel made using 60% recycled steel; provide maximum edge performance
Ultra-thin protective top foil made using 30% caster bean based bio-plastic. This top sheet protects the board from damage caused by loose bindings, out-of-control skiers, or other unforeseen impacts. It also eliminates the need for environmentally harmful clear coats.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
